  • Uncovering the Torah's Emphasis on Blessing After the Meal
Did you know that the only time the Torah explicitly commands us to say a blessing is for Birkas Hamazon? It's intriguing that while we're required to recite a blessing before eating, the Torah focuses solely on the blessing after the meal. Why is that?
Even more puzzling is the apparent contradiction within the verses themselves. First, the Torah instructs us to bless Hashem only after eating and being satiated. Yet, just two verses later, it warns us about the dangers of satiation, suggesting it can lead to arrogance and forgetting Hashem.
This brings us to a critical question: If the temptation for the wealthy to feel accomplished and haughty is so strong-and the dangers so evident-why did Hashem provide such abundant wealth to the Bnei Yisrael?
Join us as we delve into these profound questions and explore the deeper meaning behind the Torah's emphasis on Birkas Hamazon. Discover how this blessing serves not only as a commandment but also as a vital tool for maintaining humility and spiritual awareness in times of abundance.
