In 1998, JK Rowling accidentally let a secret slip on the future of the Harry Potter franchise. At the time, the author was speaking to ITN's Nick Glass in Nicholson's Cafe, Edinburgh, about the prospects of the series being adapted into a film.

All 8 films were with Leavesden Studios in England (later bought by Warner Bros)

Incorrect, the movies were always warner bros, the studio they used was Leavesden Studios. - thats the location which the sets were built. It is now owned by Warner Bros as the site for the studio tour. But originally it was just acquired as a site to use. - used to be an airbase in world war 2. Was bought by warner bros in 2010.
