- Oklahoma City Police Officer Phil Paz performing "My Maria" at the Centennial Rodeo Opry in OKC's Historic Stockyards City on the December 13th, 2008.
"My Maria" is a song co-written by B. W. Stevenson and Daniel Moore. Stevenson released "My Maria" as a single in 1973, and the song became a Top 10 hit, peaking at #9 on the US pop chart. It remained in the Top 40 for twelve weeks. In addition, "My Maria" spent one week at #1 on the US adult contemporary chart. The guitar portion of the track was played by Larry Carlton.
He is the 👌 best he can sing anything. I wish I could hear him in person. I a retired female police officer detective. His songs got me through so many rough times. 😊😊❤😃
I am a female retired narcotics special task force as well, I lost my husband last year. He died in his sleep and I listened to Phil sing then and now. It's the only way I made it through the grief and the rough days at work. Being a tiny feminine female as a pice officer is a very hard job. I gave it 36 years of my life. Thank you Phil for your music 🎶 it saved me many days of loneliness ❤😂😊
