How long do you think it will take Aaron to clear a path through this massive pile of snow? We get many comments about our snow blowers, and everybody wants to know - Can our snow blowers clear deep, wet, heavy snow? Well, we have a pile of plowed snow that has been sitting after a few snowstorms, and we want to show you how the Ventrac Snow Blower handles heavy-packed snow.
Aaron is using the Ventrac KX523 Snow Blower because it is better than your average snow blower. The 52-inch wide Snow Blower is much more powerful and easy to maneuver compared to most large commercial units available. And it is built for when the snow accumulation becomes deep and compacted on sidewalks, driveways, and other areas.
As with all Ventrac attachments, high quality, durable construction is key. Standard features on the snow blower include adjustable cast iron skid shoe discs at the rear, high carbon hardened steel shoes at the side, and a reversible high carbon hardened steel cutting edge. Add a heated cab, and Aaron is comfortable and ready to conquer this mountain of snow.

I own a Ventrac but not the snow blower. I did use a friend of mine’s that is also in the industry. Some of his plow guys plowed in the mailboxes at the condo units he was handling. He sent me over to ‘dig them out’ with the Ventrac and KX523 blower. I was completely blown away at what quick work it made of the 5’ high mound of snow and ice! If we got more snow here in SW PA I would already own one. The HB580 broom can handle most of the snow events we get in this region.
You gotta create a ramp, Aaron, to get yourself higher on the mound first. I've done this plenty when I was still in Northern Maine. I could have made a LOT of awesome videos up there if we were recording back then
Everyone in the factory. “Oh there goes Arron again trying to go through the pile” now he’s just swiping his shovel at it. Well thats doing nothing” great video thank you
great job!!! sure do miss that monday morning minute.
Ventrac is the toughest, most productive and versatile piece of equipment. Gonna look at getting another 4500z this year. Nice video! Didn’t doubt it for a second
yeah ventracs are nice here in my area with the cab and 30 attachments there about $35,000
This was a great video. Whenever you are snowblowing thru piles large enough to fold your mirrors in you know its deep.
Well what I found interesting right off the get go is that you said the "gravel infested snow" I am happy to see that the quipment is so well built that the gravel will not damage the internal mechanisms.
A shovel in your had Eric! Stunning! Hardest I've seen you work in a long time! LOL! Great machine and snowblower as usual. Thanks for the demo!
That's why we build machines! :D
Hydraulic Bucket brush grapple on the top side of blower......
BOOM...problem solved! No getting out of the cab. 😄
Well that was impressive, especially with all the rocks. Cool video, thanks.
Wyd step-Ventrac; are you stuck?
I really would have liked this blower this year in Eastern PA but sometimes it takes nasty weather to push the issue so it's getting here next month. Always next year but how this works is when you are prepared to rumble it never snows. Would have been nice to see if the top auger kit made any difference. The negative comments are always focused on price and how compact tractors are more versatile. I have both and always go to the ventrac first. Amazing machines and the attachments are really well built.
Needs flatiron bars on the sides pointing out at a 45 degree to cut the snow out on top so it can fall.
Only had two issues with ours had one hydraulic line come loose an a set screw for the brush so the drive gear wouldn't turn other then that the unit is pretty cool its amazing for how small it is but is a beast
Faster if I were getting it done with Gertrude haha!
Impressive!
Hilarious! Loved it!
Awesome! Ventrac stickers to the winners?
My best guess is 18:33 minutes!
Finally got Aaron to do some work! 😎
I am writing this at 1:48min... I hope you don't run into a fire hydrant in the middle of that. On the other hand, that might be an interesting test.
I work on a golf course in Massachusetts we have two of these machines one with the snowblower so many options great overall machine
I thought I was watching an Andrew Camarata video for a second 😂
I'd like to see what Andrew would do with a ventrac also
@@seanharkins1054 He probably would put a radio in with it!
The toro might have done better!
Comment on his channel. Tell him I want to collaborate 😁
Yep, a radio installed with a chainsaw. That's his style for sure.
I thought it would be over an hour. Maybe with the shoveling it did. I wonder how much the 2nd auger would have helped in this situation. By the looks of the funny angle for the side mirrors, this was a roughness test on those as well.
Lmao great vid keep them coming!!!!! I just picked up a ssv from the storr tractor company in RONKONKOMA NY looking to get into the 4500 next!!!!! Chris Bulldog Snow & Ice Management
When I win the lottery I'm getting a ventrac with every attachment!
That’s gonna set you back a lot but if you use the tractor often it should be worth it.
Yeah me too!
I am in love I watch almost every ventrac 4520 video I would love to have one so bad if I could afford it
Unless you've tried this you have no idea of the difficulty.
I love these machines. you got there in thee end DGM south west uk ( Devon) are a suppliers of you’re machines , I watched these on you tube and ended up working for DGM , now I get to drive them , result in life for me , yep sad ass to some but who cares I love them 👍🙂
Did you try it with the blower lifted up on the first passes? Could it leave a "ramp" that would let you take off the top of the pile and then go back and clear a level path?
Nice; I would love to have something like that
I love the fact that there is an employee showing up for work and he just looks over like, What the hell is Arron doing over there with that snow shovel.
I wouldn't have been able to climb out of there light that haha!
Then, you have to design where you can lift the auger housing high enough like your loader attachment.
I predict it will take 37.3 minutes!
Lmao dude that’s so funny!!!! Great vid!!!!! I just recently picked up a ssv from the storr tractor company in RONKONKOMA NY love it and looking to pick another one up then the 4500!!!!!! Keep up with the vids !!!!! Chris Bulldog Snow & Ice Management
Need to make a ventrac for home use please.
Why do anything by hand? I know you were testing the height limit, but why not just do one pass to cut it down and another pass to finish it up?
Well, it looked as though you were not in 4 wheel drive, I only saw your rear wheels lose traction when your drove into that snow pile. You need drift cutters on both sides of the blower, they will cut some of that higher snowand make it fall so your blower can pick it up. Also as others have said, you need to create a ramp as you tackle that deeper snow. Also turn the chute to the side, so you don't continuously increase the heigth of an already deep pile of snow. I would never run my blower into snow wth that many large stones, your blower will be rock blasted and your impeller could easily be damaged.
Terry Farrell Lake of the Ozarks Missouri I can show you how to make a flipper blade for the top of that rig where it will take care of that higher amount of snow
If you removed end plates to blower ,it held auger from getting to snow ice
I have a 1025 JD with rear mount 54 in blower. When I get in as far as I can go I turn around and knock snow down with the loader bucket , turn and continue blowing. Problem solved.
We need you in quebec ahah
Should have raised the blower as high as possible and climbed the pile taking off thin layers each passing work down to the bottom. Would have avoided the problem of not being able to blow over the pile or having the pile overate the top of the blower.
Why didn't you put on the loader attachment to smash it down?
Just got the 4500 this year in Wisconsin already kicking myself for not buying it 2yrs ago when I bought the ssv
Don't know why I'm wondering, but I am wondering - could you spread wood chips with that snow blower? Yes, it's a silly question, but I'm still wondering.
I've never tried but I have to believe it would!

@@ventrac what's the price tag on this machine with a snow blowe n a rear blade n does the cab have heat
did you know Ventrac has a special auger just for deeper snow....
4wheel tractors for winter & 8wheel tractors for summer?
The Ventrac would have made it through the pile. If you took the time to put in a serrated auger. The Ventrac is a Beast !
Haven’t even watched video yet. The real question is will it do 1-2 inch of wet heavy.
In this instance, you should have started using the lowest height, then once digging in under the snow, then raise up to break it up and it would have fallen down.
I believe you've made it through a bit.
22 minutes ;)
My kind of test
The real question to be answered is if there is a deep discount on that rock blower now? 😉😉
All you hear is Rocks lol very impressive though
If, I had one, I'd spray WD-40 onto all parts, before hitting the snow. Or, at least some kind of wax. Just can't afford one, yet. Maybe someday in Iowa.
17 minutes
23:23
also a gravel blower😆
All in fun but these things with snowblower and cab cost more then a real nice used car and if one of my guys decided to have fun by driving it into a pile of gravel and stone filled snow to see how long it would take he would be out of a job for sure.
Someone at ventrac has been watching andrew camerata 😁
Who is a dealer in Buffalo?

Hmmm, that snow wasn't put there by that machine. Interesting. 🤔
Hurt to watch with hitting all them small rocks lol

Does anyone know if ventrac could be used in extremely hilly environments.
yes they can.
That is literally their purpose they are rated for 30 degree
@@jacobwatkins2650 can they do a 35 or a 40?
So with enough wait so I can get my 450 to do a 45
@@joshbonato9576 no they are rated for 30. I mean if you wanted to be super unsafe then I'm sure they could lol
Aaron needs a rai$e so he can buy a better shovel
30 minutes
I think it’ll take 30ish mins
