You should find Su's actual graduation ceremony. Listening to what they all have to say about her just shows what type of person she is and that she was destined for greatness. I lost it when the headmaster addressed her.....and so did she
You can see that even when they were filming the song video for "My Graduation Toss" that, during the parts in the auditorium, some of the girls were barely keeping it together. Particularly when they interact with Su.
Little SG hint for you: Su was in SG in the first years and they all wore dark blue jackets. After she graduated they wore these brown ones, so no Su in the Heart No Earth clip... I guess the best way to learn all their names would be the Sakura Gakuin Nendo tests (and very funny way too!) Greets from Germany, enjoy!
I never thought I'd get to see SG being reacted to again after it disbanded... Nene and Marina 😂😂😂.... I love seeing older guy reactors watch SG stuff, they always end up with a goofy grin at some time, like they're watching their kids in school play. 😁🤘🦊🤘
I was watching these in about 2016. When you know all their names like I do, then you are deep in the foxhole. All of these girls became successful.

The lyrics to Mini Pati Hamburger are absolutely hilarious. It’s a banger. Like some others have said Su’s graduation version of My Graduation Toss is amazing. You get to see how much all the girls loved her. Moa loses it all the way through because she is the kind of person who wears her heart on her sleeve (still does). But you’ll see some others go too, including the usually very stoic Yui and even Su herself. Then the speeches will melt you (Moa again). It’s wonderful.

I believe that you would enjoy watching actual Sakura Gakuin classroom interaction between the girls and their fantastic and caring teacher Mori-Sensei (who would not watch them perform as BabyMetal because he was worried that they were not doing what they wished for themselves). He finally saw them perform at the Tokyo Dome and saw them afterwards and became convinced that this is what they wanted for their careers.
I can’t believe that after not having seen these in years, Heart no Hoshi still makes me sob at its simple goodness. Then I messed around and rewatched the Friends video.😭💪🏻🤘🏻

It's good to see someone reacting to sakura gakuin, like most I got to know sg through babymetal, out of curiosity to see yui, moa and su, but currently my playlist has more SG songs than BM.
They have very good songs and just like baby metal, the live performances are of very high quality, especially in the last generations.
Watching these show how they gained experience to shoot the BABYMETAL videos at a young age. In other videos it’s cool to hear them discusses their early BABYMETAL music videos. 🦊 🖖 ❤
great show Dunk-Metal, you paused on Yui during "My Graduation Toss" and she was doing an impression of Angus Young, and right before that, MOa was doing a Jimi Hendrix impression. It seemed that they had a little more rock sound while Su was the leader, and for the Mini Patty video Moa wore the green bandana and Yui wore the yellow bandana, which a few years later Kano wore the green bandana and Momoko wore the yellow bandana.
There's a subtitled version of Miracle Pattyful Hamburger as well. The lyrics are just as cute as vocals and dancing. Graduation Toss is one of the catchiest tunes ever written, in my opinion. My favourite SG song, followed by Heart no Hoshi.
These songs and videos have the power to make you forget all the sh*t around you for a while. It's so sad that they are gone now. They usually make me smile like an idiot, but right now it's actually making me cry. I miss them. :-(
That was a lot of fun. I haven't checked out Sakura Gakuin in a long time so it was nice to see these videos again. Every time I watch Sakura Gakuin I have to remind myself that they were doing Babymetal stuff at the same time. It's so easy to think that this all preceded Babymetal but it did not.

Babymetal was already going when Mini-Pati had Yui and Moa as it's members. Yui, Moa and Hana actually where the second generation. Mini-Pati existed before Sakura Gakuin though. And Kobametal was involved in that, but he wasn't the lead for Sakura Gakuin. He was just 1 of the people involved.

Most excellent reactions, dude! You need to watch Su's surprise party and you will get a feel for the emotions in her graduation ceremonies. As others have said, the nendo tests are mandatory for hilarity! Also, don't stop watching after Yui and Moa graduate. The show just gets better and better over the years. Especially the nendo test pranks!
Great reactions to some of the best Sakura Gakuin songs. When it comes to Sakura Gakuin, many of the girls over the years have gone on to be successful. Heres a list of what each member of Sakura Gakuin has done/is doing since they graduated in the order they graduated from Sakura Gakuin:
2011class - Ayami Muto became a singer and has released a few albums in Japan and regularly does live shows. Ayaka Miyoshi and Airi Matsui became actresses and models. They both regularly model for big designers such as Gucci and Giorgio Armani and remain great friends to this day.
2012 class - Suzuka Nakamoto became lead singer of Babymetal, Mariri Sugimoto went on to be a gravure model and streams herself playing video games on her CZcams channel.
2013 class - Marina Horiuchi is a singer with her own CZcams channel, Nene Sugisaki left show business and became a nurse, Hinata Sato is a voice actress for the show Love Live and Raura Iida became a stage actress and hosted a show for a while with Yuika Shima from Karen Girls (Su's former group before Sakura Gakuin of which Ayami was also a member).
2014 class - Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno became backing vocal/dancers for Babymetal, Hana Taguchi became a stage actress and dancer and also has a CZcams channel with her sisters. Yunano Notsu did some acting/modelling after she graduated but as far as I know she left the industry altogether.
2015 class - Rinon Isono left the industry after SG to focus on school but returned to work with SG in its final year as a backstage producer and performed the song Spin the Wind at the SG summer show with her former Pro Wrestling club member Hana along with then current members Miki Yagi and Miko Todaka. Saki Ooga also left the industry but has her own Instagram and CZcams channels, Saki Shirai became a tourism ambassador for her home prefecture and does occasional promotional modelling.
2016 class - Sara Kurashima became an actress an hosted a show with her friend and fellow SG graduate Yuzumi Shintani. Mirena Kurasowa became a stage actress and started a CZcams channel last year (which seems to have stopped uploading).
2017 class - Momoko Okazaki did stage work before quitting show business to study overseas but then returned as an Avenger and later permanent 3rd member of Babymetal, Megumi Okada became an actress and TV show host, mainly on the show Oha! Suta (which she was also doing while still in Sakura Gakuin), Aiko Yamaida became a singer but has since become inactive.
2018 class - Yuzumi Shintani became an actress and radio/show host with fellow SG graduate Sara Kurashima. Marin Hidaka became a stage and film actress. Maaya Asou was in the process of becoming a singer but pretty much disappeared from the business at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
2019 class - Kano Fujihira, Soyoka Yoshida, Momoe Mori and Tsugimi Aritomo all became member of the J-pop group @OneFive and are having great success. Kano was also one of the Avengers for Babymetal during her final year in SG.
2020 class - Kokona Nokaka became a member of a few j-pop groups as well as a voice actress, Sana Shiratori became member of new idol group Litmoon, Miko Todaka disappeared after her SG graduation but has since returned as the mirror version of Su in Chibimetal/Metalverse, Miki Yagi became and actress and is a member of Amuse Camp ( a group created by Amuse to further help young performers improve), Miku Tanaka ended her contract with Amuse and started a TikiTok channel before co-founding a new talent agency and joining its first Idol group Amulet, Yume Nozaki became part of an idol group with Nonaka and is also a member of Amuse Camp, Neo Sato became a model and actress, and finally Sakia Kimura became a member of Amuse Camp and later became a mirror version of Moa as part of Chibimetal/Metalverse.
Although most of the girls stayed in show business in some way, Nene Sugisaki who was playing bass in 'My Graduation Toss' actually went on to be a nurse.....and she's probably a great one.....I hope they do a reunion of SG members someday....So much talent, so many fantastic songs
Love Yui's bit of acting in that last clip. So kawaii and funny. Hard work and dedication to achieving your goals seems to be a major driving force for Japanese bands. While Su, Moa and Yui were (up to 2016 or so) performing in front of tens of thousands, they were also attending school full time as normal and ALSO attending Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Gakuin (Academy or learning institution), where they were all in various clubs, learning songs and choreography of differing genres. 🦊🤘🤘🦊 I know you've done Ijime, Dame, Zettai but I'm pretty sure no-one would mind if you ever reacted to the most famous of the performances of that song as well. Su said it was a defining moment in her career, when she knew Babymetal had been accepted by a Metal audience (60,000). It is one hell of a perfomance from the Kami Band and the girls too (Su was 16.5 and Yui and Moa had just turned 15), as they had not played at a Metal festival outside of Japan before, but the crowd 'got' them and they ended up selling more merch at the fest than any other band and were selling out Wembley in London on their next tour. czcams.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/video.html

If you want more "instruments" and even a guitar solo, check out "Hello! IVY" (my favorite SG song). Other great SG songs are: "Friends" and "Verishuvi" (I can't believe I'm suggesting you these 🤣). As it's been said, the actual live performance of "My graduation toss" at Su's graduation was a real drama. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Many people really know this, but some really don't, so here it is.
Babymetal and Sakura Gakuin are two separate projects within Amuse inc. BM is not belong to Amuse Kids, but Koba's Nakamoto Suzuka Training Project as metal vocalist, .the original Mini Patti also belonged to Koba's Dept. though it was later transferred.
Sakura is a project by Amuse Kids for the second careers for M|uto Ayami of Karen Girls, Mini Patti (Origial) & Miyoshi Ayaka until they became adults.
The Bee-Hive Sakura Gakuin Amuse Camp and the subsequent Kids Talent development is part of the Amuse philosophy.
BM actually started around the same time as Sakura, with members performing in two groups at the same time - BM being Heavy Music Club and Yui Moa being a transfer student, which is of course a gimmick. They have naturally been practicing together since before the start.
Therefore, BM was not taken over by another member after Su-metal's Sakura graduated, like other club activities, but continued with the same members, apart from Sakura. (Of course, it continued because it had become so popular by this point.)
These are really interesting things to delve into, as they are almost verifiable even today.
It is premium cute wholesomeness, and the songs slap. And everyone genuinely seems to just love everything about it. And remember; all this was besides their mandatory school education. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻

Pick any Sakura Gakuin video and see how talented and amazing these girls are. SG is the reason why Momoko should absolutely be accepted as the fourth member of Babymetal.
Now with Metalverse being introduced, Miko Todaka, Sakia Kimura (both from SG) and Kokona Kato are now part of the BM family as well.

Basically I seen or listen to 98% of what Babymetal has made or related to Babymetal in any form
we were all disappointed it had to end.
Not that many metal vibes in SG songs, but I'd like to point out two more songs that come close. "Shanari Hannari Dorayaki Hime" is another MINI PATI track that makes use of traditional Japanese wagakki instrumentation just like Megitsune does (but without any metal), and "Hana Hana" by Sakura Gakuin (post-Suzuka phase) has a metal-ish bridge/breakdown, clearly a nod to BM. ;-) I'd also recommend listening to the SG subunit Twinklestars (which is criminally overlooked by most reactors), which also stars Moa and Yui, and has a very Pizzicato 5-like pop jazz style. Their song "Please! Please! Please!" has some crazy baton-swinging choreography, good vibes, and they snuck in a dirty overdriven guitar as well.
PS: the Yui mini drama should give you a hint at how to locate her and Moa in SG videos from now on, just look for the two smallest ones, and it's usually them.
Sakura Gakuin became a guilty pleasure for me all the way back in 2014. Shortly after discovering BabyMetal, I found myself feeling very uncomfortable about liking these young girls so much. To soothe my conscience, I set about investigating BabyMetal to try and discover why I found them so compelling, which led me to Sakura Gakuin. I was stunned to learn that just like BabyMetal, Sakura Gakuin had formed in 2010 and was still going strong, even though some girls had left the group and new ones had been added. The more I dug, and the more I watched and listened, the more I fell in love with Sakura Gakuin. Just like BabyMetal, all of these girls were extremely talented, and their music was surprisingly good. Had I been twenty years younger, I probably could not have handled how these young girls made me feel -- happy. Fortunately, I was already 61 at the time, old enough to get over myself, open my mind, open my heart, and accept Sakura Gakuin for what it is, good, wholesome entertainment. Sakura Gakuin fans are known as fukei, which can mean something like parent, guardian, or protective older brother. I look upon the 36 wonderful girls of Sakura Gakuin as the granddaughters I never had. They have given me such joy for nearly a decade now; and I was devastated when they disbanded in 2021.Yet their legacy lives on, and I have continued to enjoy the young ladies of Sakura Gakuin through their numerous endeavors across multiple mediums of entertainment.

Wow, that's a deep dive - great reaction. When you consider BABYMETAL was just one of the several sub-units of Sakura Gakuin (same as Mini Patti - and Yui and Moa were in both as well as the Twinklestars baton club), the fact they went on to become what they are is quite incredible.
Yui (yellow bandana), Moa (green) and Hana (pink) were the second generation of Mini Patti. That was the one sub-unit that had existed before Sakura Gakuin and was the group Kei Kobayashi (Kobametal) had been looking after before SG was set up.
They had a handing on the bandanas ceremony from the first gen to the second and I think Momoko was either 3rd or 4th gen member wearing the yellow bandana that Yui had worn before her.
'My Graduation Toss' was from 2013 (the class of 2012-13 ... Su was class president that year) and it was Su's graduation - she was the only 15 year old that year so it was only her graduating (one of the other girls did also leave to become a model or something I think, but she was also from Hiroshima and the commute was just too long for her to do every week).
In the live version it was Su's very last performance with SG ... and there were a lot of tears.😢
'Heart No Hoshi' was from 2014-15. Moa was class president that year - so she was also playing the (angry at first, but you can't stop Moa smiling for long) leader of the Rakusa clan in the forest. It was Yui with the cine camera who discovered the door at the start.
Song for Smiling was earlier again when Su was still there. You laughed at the girl's reaction at getting a yellow hand print on her chest ... it was Yui who left that hand print on her, you can see her doing a happy little dance right after as well.
Su's graduation was probably the most emotional ever. Little Saki Ooga crying so hard, she couldn't even talk anymore. To me it was even more sad than Moa's speech to Su. 🥹
My Graduation Toss - Sakura Gakuen always reminds me of Give Me Five - AKB48 (in the band format). The school graduation ceremony becomes its theme with a complex story in its video music.
My favourite Sakura Gakuin song is Ganbare!! its got some nice double kick action. Maybe the heaviest SG song instrumentally? not counting the early BABYMETAL songs which were also technically SG songs too.
"Ganbare (頑張れ) is a Japanese phrase that means “Come on!” “Let's go!” or “Go for it!” in English."
Also the My Graduation Toss live at Su's 2012 graduation show makes me cry every time.

Have you reached Sakura Gakuin yet? I am not a metalhead, but I wasn't a Japanese anime Otaku (nerd) either. I had been a certain jazz fusion fan of Japan. I was like a fossil, unfamiliar with the mainstream Japanese pop-rock music. But somehow I got hooked on BABYMETAL and I kept going back to the origin of BM and I found SG and I was hooked too, lol. Thank you from Japan!

Sakura Gakuin was the pinnacle of wholesome cuteness, it’s the other Japanese idol agencies (AKB) that would have their girls in bikini photo shoots the minute they turned 15.🙄 During the live version of this, Moa is noticeably sobbing for the last half while Yui kept it together to the end before collapsing in tears next to Rinon. The whole song is basically Su’s farewell anthem from SG.💪🏻🤘🏻
All three of the girls were doing Babymetal at the same time they were doing Sakura Gakuin I think amuse started Sakura Gakuin and they put Koba in charge of The kids division

When you see how much training BABYMETAL had in Sakura Gakuin then it is much easier to understand why they are so confident when they first appeared and the improved even more from there. If you commit to an entertainment industry career like this - they work you hard (with lots of rules). Some say it's a lost childhood but it is also character building.
i have moises and i literally just lay around and listen to the instrumental without the vocals and man i truly get lost and ive found personally iji and pumpkin parade to be the coolest guitar work but theres influence of guitar in alot of them which idk theyre just everything i like haha i wouldnt change anytthing about em ! theyre melodies all the way to the cute expressions alot of em make they just grow on you !
Great reaction. In the Heart no Earth video at the point where you were naming Moa, Yui, "I don't know your name", it was Hana Taguchi who was the third member of Mini-Pati with MoiMoi and the 4th after Hana was a very young Momoko. 😊
This was Moa's, Yui's and Hana's last year in SG and Moa was "Student Council President". Probably why she got to play the "angry fairy" and was the focus at the end looking at herself theough the keyhole.
Saw a bit of discussion about Ayaka Myoshi (she was the second tallest after Airi) during the live chat. She played Ann in "Alice in Borderland" and was known in SG as "The Cool Lady" probably because of her naturally cool resting bitch face. 😂 You can also see her in the comedy "The Dangerless Detectives" on Rakutan Viki (free with ads or you can subscribe to lose the ads). She seems to have a minor role until the very last episode.

My Graduation Toss was Suzuka Nakamoto's goodbye song. The girls all loved Su-metal so much. To my knowledge, Suu is the only girl to receive a special party and gift from the SG members. With her departure, Babymetal became independent.

I'm not a SG expert or harcore fan, i know some things here and there but i don't wanna be inaccurate with the info, dang it! Where's Rick Wagner when he's needed.
Mini Pati with Yui, Moa and Hana Taguchi in the center is the second generation of this Cooking club subunit. Before SG foundation the three 1st gen girls had Kei Kobayashi (aka KobaMetal) as the producer.
Graduation Toss hits harder live at Nendo 2012 when Suzuka is graduating, she was the second Council Student President.
Love Heart No Hoshi especially that sound from 2000 edm songs, reminds me of September - Satellites. Suzuka isn't here because is a song from 2014 (iirc) when Moa was the Council Student President and Yui along with other two members were about to graduate too. In this song they're meeting their fantasy mirror in the fairy forest called "Rakusa" (which is Sakura backwards).
Song For Smiling is another song from 2012 Nendo, that's why Suzuka is part of it.
Yui switching bodies is super cute but is also a super common resource in Japanese comedy and drama. Love it anyway.

Despite being a massive Babymetal fan, I'm not that interested in SG, but I do like My Graduation Toss. The music video version of is very cute, but the live version they did at Su's SG graduation is very moving, particularly when you know what the lyrics say.
What is interesting is how their are also the other 2 versions, I assume you've seen/heard them ?:
- Suzuka Nakamoto-My graduation toss (she probably was the first to record it, so everyone else recording it would hear her in their ears)
- Tommy February6 - My Graduation Toss, the song writer, probably what Suzuka would hear when recording the first version

Sakura Gakuin of Nendo 2015-2020 were far more professional and had over all better group singing and far superior dancing then the older 2010-2014 which really couldn't hold a candle to later groups. With Nendo 2019 led by Kano being the most professional best over all in performance and quality in Sakura Gakuin history, no other Nendo comes close. Early SG feels very armature in comparison. Though you had fantastic individual singers in Early SG like Su, Ayami, Moa, and Marina, it lacked cohesion. Starting in 2015 after the departure of Moa and Yui Sakura Gakuin took a different direction, their focus and drive as a group became greater. Having some incredible singers like Ooga, Aiko, Momoko, Maaya, Marin, Kano (The best Dancer in SG history Kano) along with others that uplifted the weaker singers, and a focus on perfecting dancing well beyond anything SG had done before. With Momoko now a member of Babymetal, I would encourage looking more are her era and beyond and it's pretty easy to see how much better Sakura Gakuin became, it's nearly night and day. Especially in the acting department, my god was early SG bad at doing skits, even early Ayaka and Airi were bad. Ayaka and Airi have vastly improved thankfully. However, compared to Aiko, Megumi, Momoko, Yuzumi, Marin, Maaya, Miki, Yume, Kokona, Momoe, and Kano, early SG was beyond cringe.
Why is this so good but when American kids sing it's super annoying
Their are official BM videos out there that shows the OG 3 girls reacting to their own BM videos. Their reactions to their own videos are awesome and hilarious. Great reactions from the OG 3.
I know it would be cool if they add some death metal in some of these songs, but that's Babymetal specialty not Sakura Gakuin. Would love to see Heart no Hoshi metal version 😁
