TNO is too ambitious if you ask me. It will take years before they will start releasing second content. + Panzer and some of his minions are pretty big assholes.
At first I wasn't sure if I liked the bleakness of some of these super events, but after watching it several times it dawned on me that these are all appropriate. Sometimes this mod is too hopeful. Chesterton's super event is the best in capturing the misery of this mod, though.

Gotta say, while I love the cheeriness Macmillan event and how calm the Maulding event is, it’s got to be the Wilson one that makes it for me. It’s a mix of the feelings of community, solidarity and victory it creates, along with the effect of “The Red Flag” going from the original version to a more modern one symbolising the country going forward towards a new, better future, just hits so close to home for me. I understand that, being a socialist, I’ll, of course, be biased, but, idk man, that event just gets to me
In the newest 'Cutting Room Floor' update that they have just released today, the devs have changed the music for Thatcher's British unification super event. Will you be looking into uploading the new version? Thanks.
Everyone's talking about Birch and Stirling's event, but honestly Chesterton's superevent kinda gives me the creeps. The combination of admittedly creepy, regal-sounding music interrupted by a gunshot and sobbing with no background noise makes this event much more impactful. Like, you're experiencing the outreach of Chesterton's reign of terror. It doesn't help that he kinda looks creepy in his portrait, and that his ideology is fascism - the ideology that caused so much stir to the British in the first place. It doesn't help that he has no content either, making it clear that it is a failstate and NOT an actual path. I haven't played as Royalist England, but he does seem like a good villain.
@@hildaenjoyer8862 I mean that's kind of a stupid reason since he's basically the face of Fascism in Britain. That's like getting sick of referring to Hitler in a game about Nazi Germany. Also I rarely ever see Mosley actually make an appearance in alt-history fiction so frankly, I have no idea what they're talking about.
@@spimpsmacker6422 There is also the reason that Mosley, despite being a giant piece of shit and scumbag, wouldn't ever support Britain being reduced to a stump state in servitude to a foreign power. He viewed Britain as a great Empire that should be leading the world not some backwater client state in ruins. He opposed Hitler when the war began also.
Why is Chesterton's event so quiet? All the other ones had fireworks, dramatic or cheerful music, crowds cheering and/or machine gun fire. But his event only includes calm music, two sudden sightly loud sounds, crickets and something that sounds like sobbing.
Think of it like when Yockey takes power in the US, it's a quiet and somber thing. The UK fully embraced fascism as a form of stability, above all other choices.

TNO deserves more credit. I trully don't get how it isn't more popular than it is.
‘There is too much reading!’; ‘Why can’t I manually declare war?!’; ‘All you do is to sit around!’; ‘Why can’t I invade Germany as the US!?’
Some say that TNO's revolution of Hearts of Iron modding is at end. I will correct this: This is only the beginning.
Because TNO, while being a very interesting experience, is not entirely suited to a game meant to roughly simulate WWII. Outside of Germany & Russia it is sitting through a lot of events waiting for stuff to happen.
One of the things I believe that will transfer to other mods is the Super Events.
I thought precisely the same thing. Chesterton's super event is just... dire. It's just dire. You have the forlorn sounding refrains of "The Wand of Youth", and then the somber two-shot execution with sobbing. It doesn't bode well.

I love those super events where there are background noises of people doing something or the one which describes Hüttigs Death (African Devastation)
Chestersons event seems so sad, it’s like the hope of destroying fascism, gone in a instant.
I thought you’d got one mixed up!

*No Oswald Mosley Ending*
0/10 Not finished.
In the TNO cannon Oswald Mosley is an irrelevant drunkard in exile, the closest you get is Chesterton
Oswald mosley is irrevelant in tno
The devs said they are absolutely sick of him being the go-to British fascist in every alt-history fiction, so he basically remains a nobody.
Dude, the despotist way too scary.
Jellicoe: yay cannon go boom haha *happy navy noises*
He’s the best ending.
@@Patriotic_Brit think you mean wilson
you are mistaken. Macmillans ending is best
I'm telling you man... the flag of the Commonwealth would be so much better without the coat of arms!
It's more of a tragedy then anything.
