It will definitely be worth the money. If you look at the period in which he performed fantastically, this was mainly due to the trust from those around him. It is up to him not to be dependent on this, but Erik ten Hag can give him that confidence and together with Martinez you have a champions league winner worthy defense.
There are more knobs to turn to make it successful, this is definitely one of them.

50m or below, with slight decrease of wage, that is the requirement to make De Ligt worth to buy. i dont think skillwise he gonna fail by any means, he might not as good as Martinez, but he'll be Varane upgrade if we really play high up. His injury is not good, but not bad either, his worst injury was shoulder for 3 months 4 years ago, and last season knee for 40 days. he's gonna get injury here and there, a little bit worrying especially with our mess medical staff. there is off the pitch concern of course, but as a player, he worth the money.

De Ligt played at Juventus with Italy's best defenders, Chiellini and Bonuci. The intention was that young De Ligt would gradually take over their positions. But then Juve entered a financial crisis and De Ligt was sold because he was still worth a lot. De Ligt has not been used optimally at Bayern due to the many trainer changes. He does not fit into the system of the Dutch national team, which means he is not a regular player. But Van Dijk and De Vrij are higher in the ranking. But these players are also starting to get old.
