Yes , insecticide spray! I bought a Hoya without knowing it has mealy bugs , found three bugs. With no insecticide spray on hand , I just use alcohol to pick those bugs, then spray and drench the soil with 3% hydrogen-peroxide , I eventually toss the old and repot it a new pot & fresh aroid soil Mix. A must to have an insecticide spray esp bringing new plant.
