  • Maya Forstater came into the gender debate as the claimant in an employment-tribunal test case on belief discrimination, when she lost her job at the Center for Global Development after tweeting and writing about sex and gender.
Her case established that ordinary beliefs about the two sexes are covered by the protected characteristic of belief in the Equality Act 2010.
"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling famously faced backlash after tweeting support for Maya Forstater.
Andrew Gold interviews Maya on his show, Heretics. The conversation explores the the challenges of polling on gender identity and the need for careful, evidence-based discussions that balance compassion and fairness for all.
Nuances of what constitutes transphobic behavior versus simply disagreeing with certain views on gender is discussed, the importance of maintaining accurate data and statistics, particularly in areas like healthcare, sports, and crime statistics.
Maya points out the risks associated with allowing men who identify as women into women’s spaces and sports. There is no reason to believe this group is less of a risk than other men, and that the rules and safeguards in place to protect women and ensure fairness should not be disregarded.
She draws on historical examples of groups of men that were once thought to be low-risk of harm to women and children, such as priests and coaches, only to later be revealed as just as likely to offend as any other group of men.

Nobody has the right to pressure women to accept biological men who claim to be women, into women’s rest rooms (and women’s sports) clubs etc.

"Transphobic" is thrown about so readily that it seems to mean standing up for women or children, not acquiescing to everything a "trans" person demands, and/or simply telling truth. So, being "transphobic" is an indication of decency, backbone, and honesty, things we should all be/aspire ot be.

And phobic is exactly the wrong word. An arachnophobe cannot enter a room with a spider inoffensively sitting in a web in a corner of ceiling. The normal person accused of being a transphobe isn't thinking about trans people at all, at would possibly feel at most slight disappointment at seeing one in public.

“Transphobic” means you fear trans people. I don’t fear them, because I don’t believe they exist. It’s like saying I fear ghosts. I don’t fear ghosts - i just don’t believe they exist.

I wish those people who said that would decide to take the field or picket the entrances at the events they object to and prevent whatever it is they object to from happening instead of putting that on women athletes only.
It's really backward thinking while they're making the complaint but expecting someone else to take action for them to stop those things they object to.
Besides, there are many many more fans and general public than women competitors, so again, it's backward thinking to expect a small number of people to have the impact that a very large number of people could.
Personally, I think it should be made into a movement by anti-TRAs.
It makes total sense to just stop that crap from happening.
Just shut those events down by civil disruption.

The reason why there might be a larger portion of SA perpetrators in the trans category in prison is also larger because some men will use the chance to be near their chosen prey. There were quite a number of men who only 'identified as women ' once arrested.

A phobia is an anxiety disorder, defined by an irrational, unrealistic, persistent and excessive fear of an object or situation. The word "trans" could mean a lot of different things, but generaly is “on the other side of,” (could be the abbreviation for transcontinental, transatlantic etc). So why is transphobia such a big thing, or should I say, such a terrible accusation? On the other hand, what we can notice, is that there is a lot of truthphobia or factphobia (it is called in psychology alethophobia) and epistemophobia (fear of knowledge) among people who simply denying basic biology.

That's the problem I have with so many labels like this one. Just because I believe trans people need psychological help not medical help doesn't mean I am afraid of them, which like you said is what phobia means. I also don't hate them, as children of God I love them and don't want them hurt by a political agenda.
In our society the ideas of hate and phobia have been distorted for an agenda.

People can’t change sex. You can get plastic surgery to try and simulate what the opposite sex looks like, if you have the money, the luck to have a physical frame that approximates the opposite sex already. But your reproductive organs will never work like those of the opposite sex. In sexual sensation or function. This is just how it is. There’s no use in pretending that this isn’t the truth. It doesn’t mean you are a “bad person” if you do all those things. It’s more complicated than that. But there’s no use in lying to anyone.

Somoene who goes through a transition doesnt fully or completly change sexes first, and second, said "new" sex was acquired through artificial means, so can you claim to have really changed sexes if the new one you have is fake and or a replica?
