Thanks Lindsey for sharing these Hobonichi Cousin flip throughs, I'm trying to decide on my planner for next year and I'm thinking more and more this one seems like it'll be perfect for me. I need that daily journaling space! I love what you've done with the monthly and weeklies too!
A fun thing I noticed : You have a snake plant called Severus!? That's so fun. I never think to name my plants but I love that!
I love the way you add in notes, letters etc the vellum was a great way to make it thinner but still have the message from your sister!
Overall I just love how you use this planner, so functional but also so many memories to look back on. Perfect mix!
I'm switching to a Cousin next year - I agree 100% on not enjoying writing in a ring-bound planner, though it's much better for organising reference material. Love your daily pages! I paused the video and squinted at the Carnival Row one - I too am a little obsessed with it right now 😍

i found this video really helpful! I think your index concept is interesting. Just found this video, so I'm going to go see if you explain it in depth in another video, but if not i would love to see it! This usage gives me a visual that is practical and looks nice! i struggle with both, and i often see that people make their planners so pretty is barely practical so thank you!
Thanks for watching! I think I explain it a bit more in depth in my 2019 hobonichi cousin video. But I have a color key using mild liners for various topics and I’ll color the day with the category that’s closest. For example if I have a running list (so eventually I’ll need to go back and check things off) I color it yellow. Hope that helps

Really enjoyed this video and how you use the planner. I’ve been struggling with what to use as an archive as I throw out all of my ring planner pages also and this is a great inspiration. I don’t need to keep my work stuff so I might be able to get away with the A6 since I don’t need a weekly. Thanks for sharing and I’ll go back and look at your plan with me.
The cousin has worked out really well for me! It can feel kind of daunting with all the pages but it’s fun to use

I have various EDC 's but I also have one main system that I use like you use this cousin, it's my A5 CS Pemberly Honey travelers notebook with inserts from PaperPenguinCo that holds everything but the kitchen sink, I call her The Holy Grail. :)

This is a brilliant use of the Hobo Cousin. in the future You will be really glad to have a day by day progression of this strange and difficult year. The vellum copy of the thank you is very smart, as is your color coded indexing. What are you tracking in your habits?

This is amazing! Love your system! Your planner is beautiful! I am debating on getting a passion planner or this one. I am not sure I’ll love the thinner papers! But I love the whole idea and system of it!! I also saw you had planned an Omaha trip!! I used to live in Omaha!
Ooo that’s tough I love the passion planner too and the papers great for gel pens. I think if you’re looking to combine several things into one place the cousin is a great option!
