I drove many times through these towns on Route 7 heading from NYC to Middlebury, Vt. but never drove around inside them. They seem tranquil, and reasonably prosperous. Thank you for sharing!
I expected the usual scenic ride down US Rte 7 and 20, not the way back way, lol. Also did not expect this to start at the former site of the now long gone GE transformer building manufacturing buildings--our version of industrial wasteland / brownfields--long since cleaned up. Nice drive.
Lenox is wonderful!
It really is!
I live off this road. great area, but times change.
It sure is
what 90+ shots in less than 45 seconds not enough?
They say Pittsfield isn't very safe, is that true?
Nope it’s not
It has Good parts and bad parts. But overall, it is getting worse.
@@janetairlines1351 Such a beautiful place... It's pitiful
Not sure who they are, but I live here and have never felt unsafe. Every city has some crime.
I walk all around Pittsfield alone day and night, and never have any problems. Yes, there are some poorer areas, but they only dangerous if you are a person who goes around looking for trouble. Some people in Pittsfield say Springfield isn't safe, while their counterparts in Springfield say Pittsfield isn't safe, lol. Those are perceptions that have been fostered for decades, no idea why. Both actually have relatively low crime rates. What I do like is when the occasional violent crime happens it always gets sorted quickly. Pittsfield is a great place with a bad self image. I've been around and I've seen much worse.
