@Mehrab opi after death of prophet Muslim started fighting omar went to fatimas House and said come out otherwise I will burn your house. Two or three khulfa got killed during prayer or in the mosque. Ali had war with kharjis and also with aishaa.
If that was golden then why Muslims are so backward now. Muslims Kings had their own historians to write good history.
Today I have read the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "charity does not reduce wealth"
I thought that's good and donated £100 to the Islamic charity. Few second later I have received notification from the bank that they have transfered £100 to the
Charity. What a scame I have lost £100, and there is no way to get it back

A basic error that needs to be corrected in this excellent video about the genius of Ibn Firnas: the first exclusively powered flight was that of Santos Dumont (Brazilian) in Paris, on September 7, 1906. The Wright brothers used booster catapults, without which their inventions could not take off.

Hi everybody. Great story about a great scolar, heard about him for the first time. I think it's possible that he actually designed a glider. I also think that he may have been courageous and determined enough to take it and jump from a cliff. But it's impossible that he managed to fly by flapping the wings. Human muscles can not provide enough power to do that. Look at the flying muscles of birds and the large bone at the chest to support them. And a ten minutes flight? Not even 10 seconds would be possible!
That does not mean that he was ignorant - no way. He was probably an excellent observer of nature. And all examples of flight in nature show wing flapping: Birds, Bats, Insects, ... The only exceptions are the seeds of certain plants. So, designing a flying machine with movable wings was staightforward, not stupid. Leonardo Da Vinci made the same mistake - 600 years later.
The first gliders to actually fly would appear in the 19th century and they had rigid wings. But even german aeronautical pioneer Otto Lilienthal (1848 - 1896) who succesfully designed, flew and even sold some gliders was convinced that future motorized planes would use wing flapping like birds. Today we know better but one cannot blame a man of the 9th century for that mistake.
I wish a peaceful Ramadan to all Muslims around the world. Peace is rare and precious these days.
    Best wishes from germany.

@@panzerlurch1276 I have read muslim history bit hard way. It all started from punjabi word " thug" how it came to English. History about Islam middle east especially what they call it golden era was my interest. If that golden era was that real then why you can not find any effects of present day Muslim countries. I have spent lots of tiime traveling around Middle East and Muslim world comparing west. It looks all fictious. The golden era scientists were running around to save from the religious fanatics. I realised and claimed 40 years ago that "any past day in the Muslim countries is better than coming one"

You try so hard to deny the impact of Middle ages Muslims was so huge on modern civilization. Just keep in mind that the whole muslim world have been victim to colonization and mass genocide from the west! Basically most countries are still having the impact of the west interference in politics, in order to secure the resources and the influence in the region. In the Middle ages European struggled with having shower and most of plagues came from Europe.
