As it pertains to skill there is NO difference. There are men that box professionally who are not fundamentally sound or highly skilled. Reigning heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder comes to mind as do some others.
Kindly take the chauvinistic biased blinders off and watch Clarissa and some of these other highly skilled women fight.
Boxing is about levels period. Some are high level and some are low and it has nothing to do with gender.
I am not a male feminist nor do I think women translate well (entertainment wise) to other male dominated sports like basketball or football, but I am an avid boxing fan and I look for and recognize skills first and foremost.
@@europeanamerican3429 I have to disagree there is most certainly differences in level of skill, im Irish and would not disagree that Katie Taylor has all the boxing's skills any man has, however there is very little competition for Katie Taylor there is maybe 2 or 3 girls on the same level, because like in MMA the competition is non existent, compared to the amount of male boxers who have competition, Wilders boxing skills aren't great but he has knockout power imagne what he would do to a woman if he hit them? Plus there is none or very little heavyweights in woman's boxing as woman just aren't that size biologicaly

Only watched a bit of a fight of Christine and was very impressed on her technical ability and movement but I've watched quite a few of Clarissa fights and she's strong, determined but sometimes scrappy. Think it's a good match up I have Christina edging it but wouldn't be surprised either way so my money is on the German girl!!

Since 2013 against Mikaela Lauren, Hammer clinches, grapples and holds for dear life when the opponent gets close..she doesn't exchange at all..she just waits for the ref to break them. Hammer will improve her poor stamina for this fight, but she cannot run for 12 rounds. All her other opponents failed to go to the body enough or not at all. It wasn't because of hammer's skill that they didn't hit her body. It was because of her excessive holding and waiting for ref to break them. Footwork and jabs didn't stop Reis or Mathis from eventually catching her..and they are worse at cutting off the ring. The body shots will wear Hammer down in the championship rounds. There are so many ways for Shields to win, but only one way for Shields to lose...if Shields has an off night.

Clarissa will struggle earlier but in the mid to late rounds, shields youth, mental fortitude and experience will prevail. Th Hammer is big and strong but so is Clarissa. When it gets into the championship rounds , Clarissa will have the mental toughness due to her upbringing and long road in the amateurs. Shield is use to fighting the best in the world since 16 years of age. The hammer doesn’t know what she’s up against. America will always produce special African American athletes regardless of the sport, Black athletes born and raised in America are cut from a different cloth which is why they’ve dominated since being allowed to partake in sports. The hammer is just a stepping stone that’s gonna propel Clarissa into super stardom. I can’t wait to see my beautiful sister get the recognition that she’s earned.
