Matthew Greenstein as Gaston Allison Scott as Belle "Me" Beauty and the Beast Summit High School 2013 Silly Girls: Emily Claypoole (Orange), Abby Beier (Purple), Samantha Theriot (Green)
Somehow they are kinda identical to the original broadway costumes from 1994 and when I draw the costumes I try my best to copy all of them on my own drawing style for my own playbill for broadway New York and London west end.
I remember being in plays in High schools where I went to school. Being in musical theatre is fun. Lot of work, but fun! I can tell you right now. Awesome Performance (y) You guys done an amazing job!!!
Hey There Lucy you should post footage, I hope they bothered to style your own hair as high school wigs that are hired can be awful as they haven't the budget of Broadway and if you do the hair like emma Watson it's just a ponytail tied by a ribbon and not difficult
I’m just paining myself by watching this video. I just found out I was number three in line for the role of belle and they chose the first and second girl to be doubled casted for the role of Belle.
This may very well be the best high school Gaston anywhere on CZcams. It's a hard role to pull off, with one or more of the requisite height, build, looks, acting, singing, or upper vocal range almost always lacking. His one Achilles heel appears to be that he lacked the low range for The Mob Song and had to take that section up an octave, but he comes through so spectacularly on every other point that it becomes negligible. The production as a whole is stellar, but this Gaston in particular can be proud of an ideal performance.
Trust me, when I was a senior, I saw male freshmen and sophomores bigger and more mature looking than me. It's hard to tell these days because kids seem to grow up faster.
His vibrato was noticeably forced throughout most of that song and his tone at times (specifically on that last note was just really weird. But still okay for high school I guess.
These are all high school kids, Gaston was a sophomore, one of the Silly Girls was also a sophomore, and the other two were seniors. We just grow em big here at summit! If you dont believe me ask Papermilll Playhouse who selected us as best musical in NJ.
Those costumes are amazing for high school! They look very close to identical with the original Broadway costumes!

I love hearing how each actor of Gaston mispronounces "Rendezvouses" on purpose.
Esper tonto
Esper I play Gaston in the Broadway Production. I can confirm that it is scripted that way.
It says in the script to say it wrong
Belle's lightspeed 180°and attempted escape at 00:55 was freaking brilliant.
Xanthera
Belle: (NOPE!) *turns around*
Gaston: Hello! ;D
Belle: (shit.) Gaston! what a pleasant suprise.. (I hate you please go away.)
Hi guys
Can you please talk to me belle
Xanthera ssst
Nice save with the flowers!!!
This is a high school production?!! 😱 Wow. Looked better than any HS production I've ever seen! 👍
they're near ny and have a lot of parents in the business
IT LOOKS JUST AMAZING 👏
Fun Fact: The Bimbettes, the 3 girls who have a crush on Gaston, are the closest counterparts to Belle's sisters from the original fairy tale.
It looks so fun to act as one of those crying girls, I would be having the time of my life xD
Meep Beep I was one of those crying girls in my schools production of this show a few weeks ago lol it was really fun

Awww, yay!!! I hope it went wellll!!🙏🙏😁🎶
the white girl who's playing belle in this video is so pretty
Who did the costumes, they all look right out of the Broadway show, and not the rental ones I have seen in the past.n
This cannot be high school. This is way too good to be a high school! If it is, they must a have a great director and allot of talented kids! Perfect!
Yea, highschool students who've been held back for or five years. lol!
Gaston was a high school sophomore
Excellent version!
This is incredible for high school!!!
Gaston's "oh yes" is almost better than the OG 😂😂

Awww, I feel bad for the Bimbettes/Silly Girls. :(
Angie2343 Gaston would have affairs with them though if he succeeded in marrying Belle. But he should just go and love himself.
@@haylihill7041 Well, during the time period of the film, men were more like Mortimer Mouse than Mickey Mouse if you catch my drift.
This Gaston has more spunk than than most I've looked for on you tube... But it doesn't look like he qualifies as a high school student....
Scratch that, now that I look at it, it might be a college or a community performance
+Laura P Nope he was a sophmore in this perfomance
holy crap that is the biggest sophmore I've ever seen!
Lol yeah
Trust me, when I was a senior, I saw male freshmen and sophomores bigger and more mature looking than me. It's hard to tell these days because kids seem to grow up faster.
ATONINO ❤❤
Bravo

Muito bom parabéns, pena que no Brasil a música, dança e teatro não são ensinados na escola
