If the writers are "slow cooking" their relationship, they are doing such a great job (masterpiece!, actually). On the contrary, if this is just queerbaiting, it will be devastating and mean.
Ever since season 2 started I felt some "vibe" between Buck and Eddie. Now, after watching the first half of season three, it feels way bigger than just a vibe, it's more like rainbows and unicorns (lol)! In fact, when the Cap speaks to Eddie (in 3x08) and says: "Eddie, I just want to make sure you don't think you have to lose everything, before you can allow yourself to feel anything", I was like "OH SH*T, the cat's out of the bag" (yes, for a minute I stupidly thought they were talking about his feeling for Buck, lol).
I've re-watched seasons 2 & 3 just to verify if my mind is playing games or if there's something going on between those two, but I ended up more confused by their body language, smiles and words ("us"), lol. However, I'm pretty sure that we'll have our answer in season 3's second half. If the writers add some new girl by the very end for any of them, the slow cooking theory gets absolutely discarded, in my opinion. So, we'll see.

The whole “us” language thing is intentionally vague I think. They write it that way so viewers can interpret it either way. “Did you ever stop to think how it would affect *us*?” Could mean Eddie and Buck or it could mean Eddie and the rest of the station. 911 playing with my poor bisexual heart... 😩😢

Some people think it might be queer baiting. But it could be a heavy bromance situation. And showing like a healthy male friendship without the toxic masculinity. I don't see why they have to be gay if they're clearly not homosexual. So videos like these shouldn't say "being a couple" "being gay" "being hot for each other". It doesn't make sense. I get the confusion tho. I was watching this and realised I was in more agony and suspense than before. Let me tell you why. It's because if the writers are in fact going for the bromance situation and healthy male friendship, then they can't make them a couple down the line, because then it would just give in to the societies expectations that a relationship such as Buck and Eddie's can't exist without some sort of sexual attraction. Sure there is romanticism involved. But if they make them a couple then it goes against everything they're trying to prove, meaning we will all be on edge for absolutely nothing. So instead of expecting more from the friendship and hoping that they will be gay for one another, try to appreciate the bond they have with each other as friends. As excruciating as it may be. So if you're looking at it from the "shipping buck and Eddie perspective" it's going to be a lose lose situation for you. Because either they will get together and give in to society and ruin their friendship or they won't do that and continue to torture you by being hetero and in a loving friendship.
