Truly an amazing way to word all of this... I’m 15 right now, and I’ve been playing since I was 4. I’ve always wanted to go to Juilliard. And I’m considering auditioning next year, maybe 2 years from now.

I'm so sad, I just watched the admission conditions to Juilliard, but it's really too expensive for me... moreover, I'm French and I would have to come to the US for the audition without even being sure to be admitted...
It's even more sad because I have already played some of the pieces required for admission, so this is not way harder than what I already play, and I still have one year and a half before graduating (and also before being considered as an adult), and I can get a lot better in a year and a half... I knew I would be disappointed at the end to see the price, but that still makes me so sad...

Bonjour!

Thank you so much, I plan to later in life become a musician and one step in my dream career plan is to go to Juilliard. I'm in 8th grade right now but I am certain that is is my passion and I am going to use this to help me. (I play the French horn)

My daughter will be 11 years old. She has played fluter at school banned without private teacher for 2 years. Would you please suggest some teachers in Juilliard ? We live in New Jersey, and it is not so far to New York. Thanks so much!

Yan Yan Juilliard has a pre-college program for younger students. Private lessons definitely make a difference so the sooner she starts, the better.

I was about to go into Juilliard to look around, but EMTS came out the door with someone on a stretcher. I got out of the way and moved on. I never got into Juilliard, but it must be pretty demanding!
I hope the person was okay.
    True story.
