The execution of Angela’s line is a master class in acting. Just when folks were about to give up on the MCU…Mr. Ryan Coogler dug deep down in his pockets and pulled out that Usher meme…and told you simple mortals to “Watch This”. The trailer was phenomenal…it was the build up for me!
Right? It shows too Phase 4 wasn't aimless, we just didn't have all the info yet. Everybody was thinking Phase 4 was gonna be the "ok here's what's next" when it's really a "ok now we have to deal with the fallout of Endgame". And Wakanda Forever is going to be the perfect book end of the phase.
I started crying when Angela started speaking. I genuinely didn't know my heart could ache that much for someone I never even met. This movie is going to be so good.

I’m proud whenever any representation of diversity goes mainstream. I’m Latina and hope Miles Morales will speak a little Spanish. Is there even a comic that has a majority Latino cast of characters? If not, I hope that it will be written and have the same level of quality and emotional impact as Black Panther but that bar is set high.

I lost my grandmother a year ago today, and we just lost my aunt three weeks ago. My mothers entire side of the family is gone. That makes the tears flow even more when I hear the Queen's words. I cried when I heard Chadwick passed away from cancer, and the fact that my aunt died from lung cancer is a parallel that I didn't need.

What makes it so sad is the first huge black superhero we had was taken. Chadwick had so much to give and his time was cut short. I cried seeing this, I didn't think i would but I did. There are other black heroes in comics. Spawn (Al Simmons) is black superhero, but he’s not a full fledge hero like the Black Panther. Spawn is an anti hero. Wakanda Forever is going to be so good. But it’s going to heavy without the presence of Chadwick though🥺🙅🏾♂️🖤💜

I’m just some old white dude and I am right there with you when it comes to being wrecked by this trailer. We were robbed when Chadwick passed. We were supposed to see him grow old and become an elder statesmen of the acting profession. We were supposed to see so many movies he was in. There were supposed to be movies made because he saw something in an upcoming creator and he lent his name to the movie. People thanking him for inspiring and guiding them.

"Like we can't even grieve 'cause we gotta keep fighting." Even that hit me in this video. Truer words haven't been spoken. The real life parallels hit hard.
Still, I knew when they got Angela Basset that she was one of those heavy weight actresses they brought to the films. And yeah, she delivered that one line in the trailer, in the most powerful way. As much as it emotionally hit me, it also made me think "And *that's* why you have Angela."

I’m so happy they are emphasizing Wakanda as much as they are. Never forget Black Panther won Oscars for Production Design, Costume Design and Music, as well as a Screen Actors Guild for the Outstanding Performance of the Entire Cast. The World of Wakanda (and it’s many amazing characters) nabbed those trophies. I’m so excited to visit and spend time with them again (even if it’s a time of deep sorrow and mourning for their irreplaceable King).
I miss Chadwick so much, his loss is so overwhelming. He gave so much as an actor and a human being, and you can feel the void he’s left behind.

This trailer did a cool audio trick. If you pay attention, in the beginning there's a "heartbeat" in the sound track. And then it slowly speeds up until by the end it's beating fast. It gets your own heart to slowly match it and make your heart pound!

I cried in the exact same point you did. Angela’s words hit me square in the chest.
Had some time to think abt it. I think a small part of the movie is gonna contend with the blip. Remember, T’Challa got dusted in Infinity War. Endgame indirectly confirmed that Shuri was dusted too. So for five years it was Queen Ramonda, Okoye, and Nakia (possibly) trying to hold it down in Wakanda those five years. Imagine the upset & the turmoil in Wakanda with the entire royal family gone except for the Queen. That makes her words fit in that context. Meanwhile, in those five years, things are popping off underwater.
Then imagine the heartbreak of getting T’Challa and Shuri back at what was the end of Endgame only to lose T’Challa. Queen Ramonda is gonna go **through** it. And Shuri as well losing 5 yrs of her life and then her brother.
Angela Bassett is a powerhouse of an actress.
It's not just that we lost Chadwick Boseman. It's that we lost him SO SOON. And tie it in with all the loss we've had in the last two years, and there's no other suitable reaction but to cry. This is a powerful piece of art - because it's invoking real emotions bout the our lives' real losses. And to think, Chadwick himself is not here to see this.
This trailer had me so emotional. The song choice with no woman no cry to everything is gonna be alright to Kendrick Lamar. Angela Bassets speech, the tribute to T'Challa/Chadwick Boseman and then Namor and the Atlantiens with their Mesoamerica inspired design which I hope makes the indigenous people of the Americas proud. This has some strong representation for two cultures/peoples and Im all here for it. This is gonna be the biggest movie of the year.

I've watched this trailer dozens of times already in dozens of reaction videos and Angela's lines keep getting the reaction out of me as well as seeing other people react to it. Never have I experienced a trailer do that to me and rarely do I even find such raw emotion in any form of media.
It does warm my soul that people really care about this franchise especially the character of black panther who was played by the amazing Chadwick and seeing all the reactors cry when watching this teaser trailer cause it hit me too. I saw it posted on Chadwick Boseman's official IG page. It made me tear up, but seeing you, Tre, and Tasha during Angela's audio breaking down, made cry. The baby in the trailer is Namor. You can kinda see the little wings on his feet.
They're connecting Atlantis to Wakanda because both are countries that were hidden from the rest of the world and are extremely advanced. The reason Namor comes after Wakanda is because some 3rd party steals RiRi William's vibraniun detection device and stumble across Atlantis, so Namor goes to Wakanda but they turn him down.
We will learn later that this 3rd party is likely funded by Dr. Doom and BP2 just set up Doom War

Namor probably left the Wakandans alone (and vis versa), because he knew Wakanda was the most powerful on the surface. He assumed they would prevent and handle it. Things kinda got outta hand with Infinity War and Endgame. He's probably thinking if the Wakandans,(the most powerful nation on the surface) can't handle it, then he will. On Endgame Okoye mentions that they handle underwater earthquakes, by not handling them. She knows of the Atlanteans. Remember Thanos didn't just wipe out half of all intelligent species. He wiped out half of all "creatures". You notice this on Endgame after The Hulk snaps his finger and brings everyone back. Antman goes toward the window, and you hear a bunch of birds rejoicing. As if half their family just came back. Thanos's snap surely wiped out ocean dwellers as well. I mean Thanos did snap his fingers on Wakandan land. Namor probably feels like Wakanda just can't handle things anymore.
I just commented about that earthquake from End Game. Definitely a connection. I have to agree with your comment as well about how the Atlanteans feel about things especially since Wakanda went public.
Chances are they have a history like in the comics. Curious to see how it plays out. Personally, I think we see at the end that Doom orchestrated the conflict trying to gain something This our intro to Dr Doom

I doubt they'll do an Avengers lineup like before, that'll be too repetitive, but I'm curious about the future of the MCU with these legacy characters along with those we know (SpiderMan, Strange, Wanda, Guardians, Antman, Loki, etc), new arrivals (Shang-Chi, MoonKnight, Ms. Marvel, etc), and those to come (X-men, F4, etc). I know many fans have been disappointed with Phase 4, but I'm still curious where they are headed. What's the "Endgame" of this saga, and who is the big bad(s)?

@@tabithatalon4490 I haven’t seen the movie yet. But even if she is gone in the movie, I doubt Marvel would just let that character stay permanently gone. They could bring her back if they wanted to, we do have a multiverse now.
@@courtneylovett8307 Sorry for the spoiler but Jane isnt Thors legacy. There is a possible legacy but that really depends on whether the MCU chooses to use this character or they could use Valkyrie
