Great video. I've got King in Black and Absolute Carnage so have been looking at getting the 3 OHC of Venom but it works out cheaper to get the Venomnibus
Honestly haven't heard anyone on CZcams doing a comparison of the two. Wouldn't have a clue which one to pick up if I was getting the omni. Def help a lot of keen people out who are on the fence. Heard a lot of the tie ins aren't worth it for king in black though. Opinions? For now anyway just going to pick up the trade for KIB itself, something I still haven't gotten around too and keep the three OHC'S. They are easy to handle to read and the oversize format adds to the overall experience. Love this run either way and need to finish it out soon. Hope you are enjoying the sun Maddogg.😄
I brought a lot of the singles at the time and most of them aren't that good. The marauders, sword and daredevil tie ins were good I heard the ghost rider book was good but it was just a continuation of the writers previous ghost rider book
Ok so it seems like the Venomnibus has the entire Donny Cates run while the King in Black Omnibus has the King in Black issues (with some Venom issues) and the tie ins from other series.
I’m going Venomnibus, I don’t have anything from this series so that’s the better buy for me as you get the main series, absolute carnage, and king in black. Plus I don’t care about the tie ins for king in black, tie ins are almost always unnecessary and not as good as the main series.
Top Job, not only did you compare the two main omni but also considered the 3 OHCs and Carnage omni. And touched on the missing 13 to 15 issue in WoTR. I will now sub 👍

@@OmniNationComics just got an update that my order for both is on it's way lol. I did hear him say in this video that the reading order is all over the place in King In Black, did you use a reading order chart or something to read it in chronological order?

Honestly most of the tie-ins of KiB are horrible. AC was ok, but getting AC & venomnibus really is the best option, I expect KiB to be a 50 euro 2nd hand book in 2 years, Also, sup with the beard?

@@stephentheshywarrior2759 the Electra omnibus that's in-between Daredevil by Charles soule and Cable and Deadpool. Just checked a few sites and the cheapest I found it is £50 which seems like a bit much for its size
I was buying the OHCs as they were coming out and sold the Absolute Carnage omni when it was OOP, so I opted to have the three OHCs and the two events in trade. sure it's not uniform but it covers the bases
I've got the 3 OHC and definitely plan on getting the Venomnibus. I didn't get the AC Omni, so that will cover both that and KIB along with the missing 13-15. I'm going to get the War Of The Realms Omni as well at some point to go with the rest of my Jason Aaron Thor OHCs and Volume 1 (yes I double dipped GOT Vol 2 and Jane Foster 1 and 2 OHCs). LOL I lucked out grabbing those 3 Thor OHCs for $32 total, so I thought if I just get those 3 #1 would be east. Psych! It costs as much as the Omni so I just ended up copping the Omni!
You can read the Venomnibus at any point really, it's not necessary to read WOTR or Thor to enjoy it, and there's just a few passing mentions in Cates run. As well, the WOTR Venom crossover issues are a bit meh. Hope this helps mate, thanks for watching! :)

Venomnibus for me. It has the core series, absolute carnage and king in black. I feel that it would be a much more streamlined read.

I'm buying the VenOmnibus mostly because I got into the series with Absolute Carnage so I've never read the beginning of the run.
