Je me souviens is the tag line of Quebec, graved in the stone of the Quebec parliament and written on the car’s license plates.
Lara wrote this song immediately after being forced to return to Belgium from Quebec (for family reasons). She already had the nostalgy of this french canadian place she considers her own.
These are very poetic lyrics and it became very popular in Quebec (but also in France, there is a video where she cries the first time she sings it in Paris, discovering that even her french fans know the song lyrics by heart)

How come all you do on this channel is club music and French stuff? When are we going to get more Karen or Linda? Try Linda Ronstadt’s song Desperado, studio version. Or Tracks of My Tears, the official video. Linda deserves a whole reaction series on this channel. Did you know Selena Gomez is going to be playing her in an upcoming biopic?
Unknown to the battalion this song. Not as good, not a great or huge hit. Too sad, very boring, that's a soft knee!
She did much better than that: Immortelle, J'Y Crois Encore, Aimer Déjà for 2001 and Si Tu M'aimes (1998) are the best than this one, too bland!
