I appreciate this interviewer because he tried to include Shoma well in the conversation! Other interviews he's just sitting there staring at the floor..
"You two are ridiculous." That is the honest truth. Yuzu is like that brother that annoys you to no end and Sho just kind of...is. I don't know how to describe it. But those two are so fun together.
I feel like Yazu is more experienced in interviews and is more social so he talks and answers the questions very quickly and doesn’t hesitate but Shoma is more shy so I feel like he’s that type to want to just win the medal and go home😂
The interviewer, Shinya Ueda, is a famous Japanese comedian, and he was admitted to Waseda University, the same university as Yuzuru Hanyu. (Waseda University is one of the smartest universities in Japan. ) He has a great sense of humor and a wealth of knowledge, which makes him very good at asking questions.🥳
Shoma is such a shy and sweety pie waaa~ And Yuzuru is very confident and talkative, I love their interactions so much! I wonder what games they discuss...
Shoma laugh is soooo addictive. And thank you the interviewer for asking and including him in. I was so sad seeing other videos he was bored (and sleepy) while others went crazy for Yuzu. I love him, i just want they care about Shoma as well ❤️
seriously shoma has the cutest voice but speak so much truth lol he is too real sometimes! but i like how honest he is in interviews. yuzuru is so calm even there are so many pressures for him, he acts like a wise older brother to shoma 🥺
To come in second to Yuzu says a lot. Shoma and Yuzuru had been skating/competing together for a long time by this point. It's a real honor to Japan to have so much talent. They both skated their hearts out at the Olympics and deserve those medals. Absolutely beautiful performances!💕
My guess is Shoma did not feel the pressure because he was not the one under the pressure to win gold for Japan. He just need to do whatever he can. Compare with Nathan, the difference is obvious.
I think he feels pressure, but it is not to win gold for Japan. It is the pressure to skate well, to skate as best as possible, because he is Shoma, and he is Shoma Uno the competitive/professional figure skater, and he represents Japanese. Realize that even if 100% of the spectators believe a skater should be awarded 🥇, the skater may end up with 🥈 or 🥉 or none. Some spectators are not kind, or true to the purpose of this "sport".
One is in Switzerland. One is in Toronto. But I know their friendship/relations/connectivity would last a very long time. Shoma and Hanyu - so cute! And even if answers were constructed ahead of time, I feel they meant everything that was said, and understand everything that was said. As they have the natural inclination to understand figure skating, and execute the best skating possible even though if imperfect at times. Their natural inclination to understand and go or take things further on the correct, better, improved path is obvious. Both enjoy humor. And enjoy being humorous, without meaning to be comical. Being top figure skaters requiring lots of practice time - cannot afford much humor. Practice - falling - practice - falling - practice.......... On and on. I would think if one can just laugh it off, it would make things easier. But just trying to laugh is a difficulty in itself. Their vision is that far, and humor is only very current. Their vision as they are skating (practice - not perfect/falling - practice - not perfect/falling......) takes them much further than current, though of course they have to remain here (now, current, in the moment, while practicing) as well as way over there... far. Far - in this context is short of destiny. Destiny is farther, and wider, bigger. When farther had been reached, then we/they can look back and find humor because the difficulties are no longer. I am glad Shoma and Hanyu can enjoy the light hearted interview, and enjoy the comedy/humor to laugh, giggle but at the same time remain serious enough.
They do talk about skating, but not in a verbal language. When Shoma watches Hanyu, or when Hanyu watches Shoma, there is an unheard conversation, or even discussion. Perhaps they don't realize it, or realize later but don't know what it is call, or from where or when "it" came. They are both seasoned pros, there won't be much to talk about regarding skating techniques, methods. Each has developed their own. Their unheard conversation or discussion would be about integrating components, and about where/how to take skating further with the knowns and the unknowns. But the most important thing is to stay current, so to execute a good or best program, and to not forget that life, which includes skating, sports, gaming, relations, etc is dynamic and going farther closer to destiny. IMHO
Ohh. So Yuzu can actually act like a normal young man. In all foreign interviews and videos abroad, he seems to be always cute and fluffy. I like both! Haha♥️
👌yay. Finally after almost 2 years I finally know what they are saying...THANK YOU 😉 I just love these two they are so fun together and so cute together.
I agree. I remember when tiny little Shoma was on the podium with Yuzu before he went senior it was said Yuzu told Shoma not to be nervous because he would watch over him. I guess that promise has lasted all these years. Shoma has called Yuzu his shield.
This is the after Olympics interview 2018 not World Championship 2017. Javi was the bronze medalist at PeyongChang and Boyang had nothing to do with this.
Oh, poor Shoma-kun, who won silver at the Olympics, but can't get on his chair....😂😂😂 Sorry, Shoma-kun, I love you, it's just you're so *tiny* I can't- 😝😂😁 Eh, Omedetou to both of them! Yuzuru-kun, the first men's single skater to achieve a SUPER SLAM!!!! おめでとう!!!! ❤❤❤
Shoma said then Yuzu is his role model...and Javi. Recently he said his role model is nc. I think Shoma says what is expected from him and haters judge him wrong. True is that Shoma with his "titan" mental constitution just wants to be himself as figure skater, doing the best as he can and being genuine. But sometimes he gaves oportune answers just to be polite.
You should watch his CZcams video where he started to learn English... he's THAT airheaded but at the same time so thoughtfully honest. I can understand why Yuzu said he has a titanium brain lol
That's exactly what he said after he won pyeongchang 2018 Olympic in press conference when asked abt having family and future. He Said, 'why you betrayed me or something like that(referring to his fans)'. We are fortunate enough to witness his amazing performances and his love for figure skating which in turns make many of us falls in love with him and figure skating as well. So we must respect in whatever his decision in life and support and stand with him till the end. Coz we know he will never stop loving his fans.
I appreciate this interviewer because he tried to include Shoma well in the conversation! Other interviews he's just sitting there staring at the floor..
Yeah he's actually a very respected comedian / MC in japan. 😄

I feel like Yazu is more experienced in interviews and is more social so he talks and answers the questions very quickly and doesn’t hesitate but Shoma is more shy so I feel like he’s that type to want to just win the medal and go home😂
Or not win and go home. I don't think it bothers him much if he doesn't win. He paused his game to compete.
この時の宇野選手はひたすら眠そうでふわふわしてたけど、4年後はシャキッとして弟もできてしっかりしてたなぁ
🤣🤣🤣 Yuzuru Hanyu’s mental fortitude IS the greatest amongst all mammals!
Yuzuru’s laugh at the beginning was the best HAHA

I find it funny how Shoma was like “I want to be on the same level as Yuzu but he can keep the people that come with being that good” 😆
After the incident of chair, Shoma is also the center of the interview...😂😂😂😂
i love japanese interviews so much, all the questions they ask are super interesting and fun. Thank you for subbing!!

I think he feels he has to be more reserved and dignified around Japanese "adults". It's very important to show your elders respect.
