- This hymn is very close to my heart. It is based on Isaiah 53. Enjoy it and share it with others if you will. God bless you.
"He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. " Isaiah 53:3-5 (KJV) - Hudba
Thank you Jesus for all you've done for me.
Hallelujah, what a Savior! Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice for us!
Full atonement! Can it be?! Hallelujah! What a Saviour!!!!!! Can it truly be, that our sins are once and for all fully covered by the blood of the Lamb? Yes! I'm so glad Martin Luther could do nothing but shout Hallelujah at this wonderful truth of Scripture! All of the effort was on Christ, we are not even saved by our own belief, but first the Grace of God raptures a heart, THEN comes the belief! Hallelujah! What a Saviour of sinners!
It is finished was his Cry ... now in Heaven exalted High
... spiritual chills in this part !
"Full atonement...Can it be?" That line destroys me. From there on I listen to the rest of my church sing the remainder of this song, while I try not to break down into sobs of gratitude. I should've been in hell long ago and many times...BUT GOD...
What a Savior!!!!!!!!! I know exactly what you mean.
Yes! He paid a debt he did not owe, I owed a debt I could not pay.... BUT GOD....
I get goosebumps and tears in my eyes every time!!
This hymn keep me thinking of how am I little to image the glory of GOD and therefore desire to sing halleluya with my JESUS our heavenly home someday coming soon
"my heart's desire and prayer to God is that israel might be saved." apostle paul, rom. 10:1
We can never thank Him enough!
This is probably on of the best Christian songs ever written. As far as lyrical content that is. Thank you Jesus...
Absolutely beautiful and uplifting.

Yes, Martin Luther (1483-1586). God used him in a remarkable way to set in motion the Protestant Reformation.
thank you for posting this. and thank you Lord
I Corinthians 15:3-4 "Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures..He was buried...He rose again the third day"
powerful music..... I like the part when it says "tell satan that you are aware that you deserve hell...... " something like that
Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD, And there is no savior beside me.
Psalms 3:8 Salvation belongs to the LORD; Your blessing be upon Your people!
Psalms 18:46 The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of my salvation.

Romans 5:9 "Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him."
I Peter 1:19-20 "ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold...but with the precious blood of Christ."
Ephesians 1:7 "In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His grace."

He is Dr Martin Luther...
"The effect of Luther's intervention was immediate. After the sixth sermon, the Wittenberg jurist Jerome Schurf wrote to the elector: "Oh, what joy has Dr. Martins return spread among us! His words, through divine mercy, are bringing back every day misguided people into the way of the truth." [SEE WIKIPEDIA]

I love this hymn, and this group's rendition of it is wonderful! But who are they? I just looked up the soundtrack of the movie "Luther," and this is not on it. Could you (or someone) please find out who this group is? Thanks.

This version of the song is so annoying to play. I'm trying right now. They slowed WAY down at the Hallelujah part, drives me nuts.
Beautiful song, don't get me wrong.
Vile, and deplorable. Tetelestai!
