- [Final 15 laps] One year after his father's death, Dale Earnhardt Jr and Richard Childress team up and run a special #3 Oreo-sponsored car in the Busch Race, returning the #3 to the winner's circle. Excellent post-race interviews of the emotions of returning to Daytona in February of 2002. Benny Parson's voice is a pleasure to hear, much like the greatest broadcasters of all time.
#3 Forever.
"When you got Dale Earnhardt driving it, it'll hold up."
Dale certainly was in the car with his son. He knew the tires would hold up.
🙏🏿🕊🏆
Great memory! I have this die cast, it’s one of my favorites!
Aw man, i was at this race, thanks for posting!!! I believe JR was driving an RCR entry that day wasnt he?
Correct
Great looking car. I always imagined that and the Nilla Wafers car he drove at Charlotte later that year to be 2002 Cup paint schemes his Dad could have driven that year.
Love the schemes in this race
Michael Waltrip is so damn funny.
Michael Waltrip's interview was really funny in this race
When racing was real .
It’s definitely still real lol
Great announcing team
World class guys
Awesum family of Nascar. Rip#3
Good Lord man… at least try to fight against the “dumb hick” stereotypes
Fun race.
Do not stand on the roof? I wonder what that was all about?
Probably had some innovation on that roof haha
Did earnhardt drop NOS tanks on that cool down on the back stretch?
JR'S NAMES WAS ALWAYS BIGGER THAN HIS DRIVING RECORD
2 Daytona 500 wins, multiple daytona wins on the cup level, record 5 straight wins at talladega, pocono sweep, first rookie to ever win the winston, major race winner at Bristol, 26 career wins that is good for 32nd most all time, 2 Busch series titles and countless busch wins, 15 most popular driver of the year awards, Nascar HOF inductee, successful team owner, hit podcast host, tv host, and the one man NASCAR listens to. But go on about how his name is bigger than his talent
