That is already super embarrassing for the NBA. It's going to look even worse in hindsight. I'm convinced he basically stopped trying the last ten games or so, since he just didn't want any part of it. Then, in the playoffs he just turned it up two or three notches and just ran everyone over.

Incredible court awareness, softest touch around basket ever, arguably top 3 passer all time. His consistency over past few years against every type of defense has made him unquestionably #1 to me right now.

Joker is a unique offensive problem because he can pass the ball like no one else, can shoot threes well (He was 38% from 3 last season and *46%* in the playoffs. Think about how ridiculous that is for a second), and, oh yeah, is 6'11, 285, so he can 1v1 anyone in the post whenever he damn well desires. He is literally a perfect offensive player.
He's just a big Serbian country boy who likes horses, beer, and a good game of roundball.

He is 7ft in shoes mate with 7ft+ wingspan. That's why he rebounds so well and his game around the rim is so good.
@@szobione I mean, height alone won't help you that much as a rebounder. His rebounding technique, the way he boxes people out with strength and his incredible touch to control the bounce and second touch is what makes him so elite. The height is just a force multiplier.
He has a unique skillset for a big man that we've never seen before, which is: Shooting, passing w/ great vision and accuracy, awareness, with a traditional big man low post game. Usually when a big man can shoot, he has no low post game, or at least a good one, and vice-versa. Nikola has both. He's the real deal...
He's basically the apex of the European style of play.
He's what Bird would have been at 7'. Breaking the game.

Bird, Jokic, Luka, Zach Randolph, Andre Miller. Are the players that come to mind. When you can see the game better then anybody else. You don’t need major athleticism. The ability to see the future will always have people trying catch up.

I'm a Celtics fan, but I've been screaming from the rooftops that Jokic is the best player in the league since his first mvp season. The Nuggets winning the finals was a nice validating consolation prize for me since my C's choked again.
I'm also a Celtics fan. But until Jason and Jaylen can get their shit together and start leading the team I am rooting for Jokic. He is unstoppable now.

I first learned about Nikola Jokic during the 2020 bubble playoffs. As a lifelong Heat fan I was lowkey rooting for Denver & Miami to meet in the finals since then. Little did I know I would get that exact matchup this past postseason. It didn’t go in our favor unfortunately but I gotta give it up to Nikola and the Nuggets. Nothing but love for them in the West
The Heat were on a crazy, once in a lifetime run, but miracle runs usually end when the team faces an all time elite player. Also I really felt the momentum of Miami dry out when Boston was coming back in that series.

In a sport with only 5 positions, Jokic has completely redfined and transformed the expectations for an NBA center. He's only 28 and in my book, already a surefire future hall of famer.

I was at game 5 and I throwed my back out celebrating a make with like 5 minutes left. I made myself stand for the last minute and a half though, I had to witness the history they made that night. What a team, I ended up making it to about 50 games last season and it was such a season to remember. Jokic is my favorite player ever

I love watching this man play. It's an interesting and pleasant feeling to be confused and bewildered by his genius passes (there's a delay between the pass and me understanding what just happened, haha.
proving once again that IQ CAN beat physical dominance. you can be gifted with the greatest physical attributes one could ever dream of but still be relegated to wasted potential. joker has unreal game sense and awareness. his vision and basketball IQ are on another level. comparable to cp3 but as a center. he reminds me so much of larry bird. and he will probably be slept on just as hard as larry bird is in 40 years too.

Honestly the REALLY truly scary thing about Joker? He's 28 and his style of play means his injury risk and 'fatigue factor' (meaning his numbers and efficiency stay high throughout the 82 game season) are very VERY low. He could EASILY peak over the next five seasons and play another 12. Which means he hasn't peaked yet... a 2x MVP hasn't hit his prime yet... if you are the other 29 GMs in the NBA this just has to be the stuff of nightmares.

Jokic is the best player in the league rightnow and the only 2 players you can argue is giannis and curry. He should had been the 3 time mvp and people was down playing for losing to the the suns in the semi-finals and the warriors in the 1st round but people always ignored he didn't have murry and mpj in those series. While Jokic game might not be fun to look at by some people there's no denying rightnow he just came of one of the greatest playoffs runs of all time gave Denver it's first championship in franchise history a two time mvp and finals mvp and 6th all time amongst centers and a top 75 talent and one the greatest offensive players of all time and still have a long career ahead of him.
It shouldn’t matter what a player did last season in the playoffs. The MVP is a season award but people will say I need to see him go farther in the playoffs in order to give him the respect for a 3rd MVP in a row.
