- Olhos de Agua near Albufeira The Algarve Portugal a small fishing village next to Albufeira. Olhos de Agua has a small beach with rock formations, plenty of sea front restaurants and bars. The beach is an area between two cliffs that the town occupies, still has an active fishing fleet launching from a portion of the beach.
The Albufeira hop on hop off bus will bring you to Olhos de Agua at the Riu Hotel.

Loved your video.Loved Olhos de Agua, which we visited in October, 2019, five times! Intend to go back & stay nearer than Vale, which we walked from, & then, used the local bus, as well! At my age of 74, I finally swum in the Atlantic Ocean, on my bucket list. First, I just went for a paddle, then, stubbed my toe & collapsed in, & , I was in! Wonderful memories!
What fantastic memories, we were lucky growing up near the Atlantic Ocean in the UK. Olhos is a great little town, we enjoy visiting there sitting watching the ocean. Always great to be able to tick off a bucket list item! Here’s to getting back sometime soon. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your memories, take care.

Never been to the Algarve or Portugal to be honest, even thought my sister in law lived there for about 12 years. The beach and bay area looks superb and the food prices look very reasonable. Its nice that they have retained the fishing industry there and not gone 100% over to tourism, as the village has expanded, I think that helps to retain the character of the place. Cheers Alan

Hi Colin, Thanks for watching and commenting, I agree all the towns of the Algarve have their own charm, great to explore. We are starting to plan a mammoth cross Canada trip in an RV motorhome, Toronto to Vancouver in April. We caught the RV bug enough to try it, inspired by you and others.

We are usually there January or February when it is off season 🌺
I'm wondering if that rock formation with the big holes in are the 'Eyes of Water', which is what 'Olhos d'água' means.

No. The Eyes Of Water refers to plate size circles that appear on the beach where fresh water rises up through the sand.
