- Eitan Conio was in the safe room when terrorists broke into Kibbutz Nir Oz. They set fire to his house, but he, his wife, and his daughters were miraculously saved. The rest of his family were less fortunate: his twin brother David was kidnapped with his wife Sharon and their daughters; Ariel, the younger brother, was kidnapped with his girlfriend Arbel Yahud. Eitan returns for the first time this evening to the dramatic moments in the burned safe room - and tells about the longing for his brother and the difficulty of meeting Sharon, his sister-in-law, who was released from captivity after 52 days.

To say this situation is tragic is an understatement. I know how these people live. For me, living in a kibbutz is like living the life we have in mind - simple, quiet, and full of joy. I should know. Israel was my home for 5 years. What's sad about this war is the civilians who get caught in the middle. It's just really tragic. I continuously pray for all the remaining hostages to come home and the war will end soon. 🙏🌹🌿

These tears and the heartbreaking realities they live in from day to day must be excruciating. Praying for their comfort as I continue to watch the Isaiah 61 song each day. This particular video reminds me of psalm 56:8 “You (Adonai) keep track of all my sorrows. You (Adonai) have collected all my tears in Your (Adonai’s) bottle” 😢

How is it possible that IDF and the Government NOT KNOW this was coming????? That's what gets me. I am so angry beyond belief.
They thought Hamas would abide by the terms of the ceasefire that was in place. And there hadn’t been any rocket attacks since the ceasefire had started. Maybe they were just lulled into complacency. Thought that the worst that could happen was more rocket attacks or a few terrorists infiltrating, not a full-scale invasion.
@@KathyPrendergast-cu5ci ceasefire or not, there are soldier on 24 hour watch watching the border without blinking, how could they fail to see that many paragliding and not see such a huge plot ? Some say they were warned but didnt take it seriously...Who knows. Ben Gurion security seems like a joke considering how advanced everything is.
