You’re spot on that Cold Chisel were like brothers. Today when they reminisce, they still think of themselves as brothers. Jimmy was the ultimate wild thing. He wasn’t acting a part. He used to drink two to three bottles of Vodka per night
straight from the bottle and he used to take copious amounts of drugs. Never heroin but pretty much everything else. He has stated that his abuse of alcohol and drugs was so vast that he thought he should have been dead and he didn’t understand why he wasn’t. He began thinking he was unkillable. He liked to fight too. Jimmy has stopped all that now and he feels like he’s in a much better place. 🙂

Glad you liked it. I've only recently discovered the reaction channels on CZcams and it's been a real nostalgia trip for me,
To see others reacting to Aussie bands like Cold Chisel is a real trip down memory lane, taking me back to the concerts and the times.
If you thought this was good - and it was exceptional - imagine seeing Chisel in a pub or club with an audience of 250 or less. It was still Chisel. Everything was there. Just in a more intimate venue. Great times.

Of course Jimmy is Humble that how Aussies are. They know how much trouble they'll get into if we aren't. The Aussie Fans strive to be respectful and remember They're Human Too. I recently stumbled across an interview with Natalie Portman about when she and Chris Hemsworth were shooting "Thor: Love And Thunder". Because it was going to take almost a year, the studio suggested sending their kids to one of the local schools in Sydney. Because of crazy, hectic schedules with harnesses even normally fan-friendly Chris was having some days where he just wanted to pick-up his kids and go home. She was short enough to blend in with the other Mums. But because Chris is so tall he'd have to hide behind a tree. Yes they're definitely Human Too.

Jimmy and all of Chisel were always humble but don’t for a minute think they weren’t superstars. In Australia they were idolised and it’s because of their respect for their fans that they were revered by everyone who knew them. I was at this concert but I had followed them for years around the pub circuit long before they got to super stadium status. Live - they were always the best entertainers in the world

Interesting fact about this song Wild Thing was written by American songwriter, Chip Taylor 1965 and was made famous by British group The Troggs and has been covered by many other singers. Chip Taylor’s actually surname is Voight and is actor Jon Voight’s brother and so of course is uncle to Angelina Jolie. Other famous song he wrote was Angel of the Morning, made famous by Merrilee Rush in 1968. He wrote many other songs as well although without the same success of the previous 2, mentioned prior. â€ïžđŸ€˜đŸŽžđŸ‡ŠđŸ‡ș

. Originally performed by The Troggs an English Band in the 60’s

.. in these series of Concerts Jimmy Barnes actually blew out his voice and Chisel had to reschedule some shows while Jimmy regained his voice .

This is NOT screaming!!! It’s singing!!! FFS!!! What’s next we’re gonna start calling James Brown, Otis Reading Sam Cooke and more as screamers?! Listen carefully there are vibratos on the his vocal register. It’s called singing!!! And no! He will NOT have a sore voice the following day because he’s NOT screaming!!! But I guarantee you he must’ve had a huge hangover the following morning after that night, for sure!
