Omg that was so funny! This is so true everything Pastor says. I may be Abroad but I stay United with u guys as I don’t want to be misinformed by any other Pastor Preacher. But more so Pastor always encourages study the Bible yourself. It’s simple God is love, we all fall short and have no right to eye rolll at others faults when we are battling our own challenges . Compassion is love and we need to exercise that emotion/ gift to all! So grateful this was next to play o CZcams after I have just watched this weeks “moments called “Trust the Process “

I was once told by the son of a pastor that I was not a good Christian because I was a few minutes late for church. Another time, he told me that I did not respect God because I was reluctant to attend the resurrection Sunday meeting at 3:00am. In the end, I left that church. It had such a bad atmosphere. There was no joy. It was controlled by a religious spirit and a long list of useless rules. I eventually found a much better church with really great people.

I'm struggling with this and I know it's a root issue in my life. I know that I am in Christ because He's made himself real to me and I have no doubt I'm gong to heaven because of what He did. But my struggle is that I still live in this world where others put expectations on me. I can't NOT care what my boss thinks because if I don't I won't have a job for very long!! If I don't make my sales numbers every month I can't just say "Oh well it doesn't matter that my boss is not pleased with my performance because I'm going to heaven so who cares what he thinks!". And yet I know that the fear of man and what they think of me and my performance is a trap that brings torment. From the time I was an infant my earthly dad was never pleased with me or anything I did. And that filters over to bosses, wives, friends, coworkers, strangers, etc. Everyone in this world EXPECTS something from us! If you want to keep a job and get a paycheck they EXPECT you to make your sales numbers every month!! And this causes great anxiety. I just can't see how in this world we can say we are free from those EXPECTATIONS or that they somehow don't apply to us?
I really need some help and healing in this area. This could be the most important message I've heard in my 40 years of knowing Christ and I still can't quite understand it all!! Those are my thoughts.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understand, God sees what you are dealing with, reach out to him earnestly in faith, find the bible verses that relate to your situation and meditate on them, ask him for help and then stay in faith. I am by no means without issues myself, and still in a trial but I can tell you God has been amazing and when we stand on his word he does deliver us in whatever area we have be held captive.

I've had a very tough childhood where I parented my mother who was mentally ill and intensely relied on me until her death when I was 12 years old.
I imagine this plays a part. But I'm 62 years old and still I have such a hard time thinking of God loving "me personally". I can easily see Him loving others or the world, but I cannot imagine Him in my mind personally relating to me even though I know I have had many prayers answered. I just can't see Him as focusing on me. I don't know how to see Him loving me. I'm rambling I guess, but I just wish I could see Him in this way. If any of you feel led to could some of you pray for me? Thank you and God Bless you.
