    John 3:16-21:
    16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

    Just got a beat up house for my first property, am working on getting my approved to rebuild but need something cheap for the meantime. I have a wood stove so I can’t rock carpet but the floors aren’t the flattest. Hoping these are good enough to hold me over for 5years max!

    Thank you for your flooring videos. I’m getting ready to put some down wondered about the durability

      Thanks for stopping by. I’m actually getting ready to do a 3 year review but overall super durable. We have 20-30 people over almost every week including children for Bible study and it has lots of traffic and no issues with it. The one thing I’d say is with the the seasons and shifting there can be small gaps between planks over time but if you close them back up and add some glue under the planks they are secure. Overall for the price of 99 cents a square foot back when I bought it, I would recommend to anyone in a budget. We have a piano that sits int this flooring and over 3 years from sitting in the flooring you can see indents from where it sat if you move the piano but hasn’t cracked, torn, or really damaged anything.

    Thank you. Looks good. We used vinyl planks and paid a lot of money only to see them lift and crack after 6 months so considering these Since they seem to be able to fix easily unlike click and lock ones

      Thanks for the comments. I have found that after 2 years in some spots that are less traveled the planks want to curve up but a little glue and planks go back down. Also noticed in some rooms they have direct sunlight over length of time planks want lift up a bit as well which again a little glue and plank will stay down. Overall investment is a success in my book. Thanks for stopping by!

    The floor looks amazing, thanks for the review! I'm about to install this exact same floor and have a question, in one area I will have to slide a heavy bed back and forth at least once a month to change the bedding, do you think sliding furniture over this floor will cause it to move/create gaps? And the gaps that you personally have experienced, are they always on the short 6" ends of the plank, or have you experienced gaps also along the 36" sides?

    • @HomesteadersOnTheHill
      @HomesteadersOnTheHill  Před 8 měsíci

      Thanks for reaching out. Typically the gaps are length wise end to end where you would see a small gap on the 6” side. In high traffic areas or places where you know you will move your furniture I would probably throw some glue down on that area on those planks just to help secure. I plan on making a 3 yr review video to discuss soon which I hope helps. We slide our beds around to change sheets as well and have not noticed any issues even if glue hadn’t been down prior. Overall still very pleased and some house settling has had a few seems show but with a little glue it’s fixable and still well worth the investment when I bought it 3 years ago. Thanks for stopping by

    My subfloor is OSB, would you recommend applying these planks on that? Is there any special prep I would need to do first?

    • @HomesteadersOnTheHill
      @HomesteadersOnTheHill  Před 2 lety +1

      @Laura Santina Everything I've seen recommends to place an underlayment down first. Not sure how that would exactly work with peel and stick planks. I placed mine directly on the plywood subfloor and does great. The only issue I would see with doing the same to OSB is if you ever had to remove a plank, I'm sure some of the OSB would come up with it and also if it's flaky it could cause adhesion issues perhaps but I would probably try a small area first to test it out. Sorry I wasn't more help.

    Did you use a primer ahead of time? How do you think it will be over ceramic tile?

    • @HomesteadersOnTheHill
      @HomesteadersOnTheHill  Před 2 lety +1

      I did not use primer. I installed straight to the subfloor and it claims to work over tile but if there is grout or uneven surface I think it would show on the floor and May not work well. If it was flat surface or grout was all filled in smooth then I would maybe give it a try but I have not attempted that myself.

    Good video! What is the color of this? I’m not fond of “gray”; looking at a box of “Walnut Ember Gray”. It mostly looks brown-not gray. Wondering.

    • @HomesteadersOnTheHill
      @HomesteadersOnTheHill  Před rokem

      I believe ours is walnut ember gray and it’s gray tone with black lines in them as well is vague shades of brown. They do have many color options on the Home Depot websites

    Do you recommend it over concrete in basement? Plus I have drain in the center and the floor dips around drain.

    • @HomesteadersOnTheHill
      @HomesteadersOnTheHill  Před 2 lety

      I’ve read that concrete floor is good for this flooring. I would think the cold temp would transfer to the surface of planks but as far as application shouldn’t be any issues. If there is a dip by drain the flooring should still stick due to the weight of planks and I wouldn’t see it being an issue but haven’t done concrete first hand. I am a fan of this product and even thought about putting out in my shed but not in the budget currently. Thanks for the question and stopping by.

  • @Peach9551
    @Peach9551 Před 2 lety +1

    How do y'all mop it? I'm scared to much liquid will get between the cracks and over time make them peel.

    • @HomesteadersOnTheHill
      @HomesteadersOnTheHill  Před 2 lety +5

      We don’t use mop and bucket but do use like a swiffer style mop and spray cleaner on floor with spray bottle and then mop it. As long as you’re not soaking the floor it should be fine. We even have the flooring in the bathroom and no where in the house has peeled up. The weight of the plank keeps it from peeling up. It’s really a great product and I loved the price. We are about 18 months into the flooring and would highly recommend. It’s my opinion and we are not sponsored by traffic master.

    Did you leave an expansion gap when butting the planks up against the wall? Should it make contact or should I leave space?

    • @HomesteadersOnTheHill
      @HomesteadersOnTheHill  Před rokem +1

      I put it as close and tight up to each other and Wall. If you leave a gap the floor could separate
