The 1st person on defense appears to be required to pass out or get to the 2 point line first before shooting
do you have to clear the ball/move outside the 3 point line when your opponent scores?
yes! however the 3 point line in 3x3 is actually a 2-point line :)
Trent Tucker Rule in 3×3 basketball applies when 0.3 seconds remain on game/shot clock.
I still don't get the "No Break" after scoring. Does that mean the scoring team is allowed to get after the ball immediately or does the other team have to have control of the ball first? So, can a team score, get the ball as it comes down, clear the ball and score again, without the opponent touching the ball? Can anyone help?
Is there a 3 second rule (3 in the key) on 3x3 basketball??
Yes
what if during clearing the ball, and the opponent steals the ball but the opponent is inside the two point line. they do have to clear the ball first right?
Nice video.
great video, however you forgot one vital thing..... the snap court!
We play our top 3x3 events on a Sport Court. This said, 3x3 can be played ANYWHERE!
@@FIBA3x3 what is the anchors name, who is explaining the rules?
So why is it called 3x3? Shouldn't it be '3v3' if it's 3 versus 3? With the name 3x3, it makes it seem like there's three teams on the field.
I'm going to Switzerland at the end of this month to discuss and i want to discuss with whoever is in charge of the 3x3 rules because there is this one rule that needs to be changed for the safety and oppurtunities for many players registering and competing. The rule of having just 1 substitute on the bench needs to change there should be at least a few extra players on the bench (3-4 substitutes) because if 2 players out of 4 get injured what happens? The game can't end otherwise if FIBA 3x3 runs into that specific situation it could ruin the system and also because 6-7 players total on a 3x3 Team is half of 12-14 players on a regular 5v5 Basketball Team and i have many more ideas, do you know the email and office/location address of who is in charge of suggestions/ideas? This is a very important and serious rule that must be added/adjusted. Please Let me know, Thank You ~ Dan W.
Hi Dan, thanks for sharing your ideas. Please send us a DM with your contact details on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram so we can start a longer conversation. In general, having just 4 players is what makes 3x3 so flexible and appealing for teams and countries who do not have a large depth of talent. It's what makes 3x3 so exhausting and physical. Also, you are right that this can happen and has happened but in 7 years these situations can be counted on 2 hands.
FIBA3x3 Hi there, thanks for the reply. I will contact you guys by Facebook or Instagram etc. and i want to discuss the smart ideas, i understand about the flexibility part and the "10-minute sprint" but since injuries can occur and since if 1 player from a Team gets ejected and another gets injured from the same team there is a high chance that it can occur which could lead only 2 players on the team which can be a bad sign. What i believe can work is if there can be this rule where there is minimum 4 players and maximum 6 or 7. Having a few extra players per team (3-4 on the bench and 3 on the court) will get more players registered and there can be team celebrations on the bench and more oppurtunities for players to get scouted and selected to play for their countries (at the 3x3 World Cup, or even higher the Olympics) i want to discuss that idea with you guys online and in person trust me it can work. Sincerely ~ Dan W.
FIBA3x3 Hello There, over a week ago i came to the FIBA Headquarters in Mies it was a great time i spoke to FIBA staff member Annie O'Shea and i gave her lots of 3x3 ideas. As a reminder for either late 2017 or early 2018 any time around then you have to look at these ideas i gave which will grow 3x3 Basketball a lot especially the important rule of having 2, 3 or 4 substitutes off the bench i gave all the reasoning and concepts it can work. At the moment having only 1 substitute is a huge risk especially if something wrong happens at the Olympics and anytime & anywhere you cannot "count/fix these situations on 2 hands" you cannot cancel a game thats a bad scenario i looked at any possible way and there isn't any fix with 1 subsitute, you must change that rule so therefore i gave you an important must-have rule of having 2, 3 or 4 substitutes which totals to 5, 6 or 7 players per team is still flexible and many people want this rule to apply and even many players i know agree with me. As 2017 has 2 months left there's no rush but you have to look at all the ideas i given you sometime in early 2018 and discuss them, i am looking forward to the growth of 3x3 and wishing you all a happy new year in 2018. Sincerely ~ Dan W.
FIBA3x3 Remember when looking at all my ideas, keep in mind about the injury part about if 2 players get injured which you have to add more substitutes 2, 3 or 4 subs total is perfect
FIBA3x3 Oh ya i also forgot to say, let me know when you have looked at these concepts in 2018 and the important 2, 3 or 4 subs rule, have a good day.
