- North Eastern Hill University, situated in Shillong in the states of Meghalaya, is one of the oldest and important universities in North Eastern India. I am a student of this University enrolled in B.Tech in Information Technology.
Here's my effort to bring my beautiful campus to the viewers. It is also the largest campus in India with a waterfall and a lake inside. Enjoy!

Hi Di🙋🏻♀️ I got admission to NEHU this year . I'm from West Bengal. I'm very excited to go there. For the first time, my parents will go with me so I need to stay at NEHU guest house. Can please tell me that is NEHU guest house available on Sunday ? because we will reach shillong on Sunday so I heard i have to submit an application to administration office for guest house. So lwill administration office be opened on Sunday? If you reply, it will very helpful.

Yes you can book on Sunday by directly going to the guest house. If you are applying for a student consent then you'll have to give an application signed by the dsw to the administrative block a few days before.
And since you are going for the first time I assume you don't know many people there so I recommend you to call the guest house or first before reaching there.

Yes administration is closed on Sundays.
In Old guest house which is near UG girls hostel, 1000rs. New guest house and icssr guest house near school of technology, 1500 and 1300rs.

Polobazaar is 15mins drive. Well developed everything available. Policebazaar another 10min from polobazaar.
Besides nehu itself is a small town. Everything is available inside or around the campus.

You've to get it from the Govt hospital or any private nursing home

Since you've asked for "actual thoughts" :
In engineering knowledge and expertise or experience are two different things. You can get knowledge but how to use it may not be taught to you. This is the scenario of most engineering colleges in India. So if you are passionate and want to do stuff, then basically any tier 3 college is same, there isn't much difference. But if you compare it with tier 1/2 college then there's huge difference.
And FYI I just finished my course this year, many of us have secured jobs in many IT and government organisations.

There is no Update on University website till now.

Nehu doesn't have bsc bcom in it'sshillong campus. Check properly where you have applied, any other campus or any affiliated college.
