    A lock-up located on a bridge, hanging over the water, in a former chapel… also, it must be one of the best-preserved lock-ups in the entire country- it was an extraordinary find!

    Rosalind is on a hunt to expand her evergrowing database that comprises the findings and history of locally situated lock-ups. Lock-ups were most commonly utilised to temporarily imprison misbehaving drunks overnight, although they were also used to accommodate those on long journeys away from home. Lock-ups were cold and usually in complete darkness.
