Is this idea dumb? Yes. But is it fun...? Also yes.
Can you make a map where when ball touches floor it spawns at random location. It would be so fun.
I think is fun, if you know how to air roll haha, can you also try changing the field into a sphere
Or make a game where the one with the most demos wins in a a bit more challenging map where you can't escape that easily. And in a limited time.
OR, or, make a map with multiple goals and you have to score in the right on, but if you score in the wrong one a point is taken from you
I have one more idea, a map where there is chess and you only need one move to checkmate and you move the last piece by scoring, each time you score there is a different play with only one move to win the match.
Leth REMOVED stuff? Now epic might consider hiring him

This man is too good for rocket league. He’s the only person that can make the stupidest map and still manage the craziest shots
Interesting. My vision of no floor, no ceiling meant that the ball and/or player would be in a continuous loop. Kinda like portal essentially. The entire ceiling would be one portal and the floor would be the other portal. Maybe having the portals only effect the ball and not the player? Could make for some interesting shots on goals and trying to read the shots to stop them

That's a great concept! JG falling in the chasm and his voice disappearing reminded me of one of the most funny moments in RL history with the Proximity Chat mod. Have you ever tried it?

You should make a map that is like a "Ringworld". It's kinda the same idea as this, there is no ceiling or floor just a long wall that makes a circle around a tiny planet the ball spawns on.
What's needed is a map that's kind of like a hall of mirrors. A smallish room but with lots of short walls/vertical platforms dotted around the place at different angles.

This gave me an idea for a new map you could make. Same style map but you can’t cross. Essentially a 1v1 but on both sides so you would have to pass the pall across to your teammate
I think a floor and wall-less map could maybe work if when the ball or a player goes out of bounds, there is inverted gravity that will suck them back into the play area

when you guys where talking about having a map where you could just boom it and have it go crazy that got me thinking, what if you made a map of some stupid complex shape. never heard of this shape before i looked it up but i think a "Parabigyrate rhombicosidodecahedron" would be a crazy map to see boomer played on
Do you need water to get the bouyancy effect? I would love to see an idea similar to this, but rather than a hard wall on top and bottom, theres the bouyancy in both top and bottom, so it isnt a hard bounce but a gradual reverse in momentum. I imagine the ceiling bouyancy effect from the top accelerating the ball downwards could lead to some fun shots too
Just saw the intro and I could have sworn there was another map that was this concept, but even worse. I want to say the field was normal for the ball, but the cars weren't locked into it and could fall all the way down. This looks like a much better version of the concept.
There was that all-grey map that had a second, much bigger field for the cars!
@Lethamyr Yeah, that was the one. I thought I remembered it as all gray but couldn't find it in my quick search. I think this version was better as it allowed more strategy. Another option might be to have the pit be right in front of each goal as well. Be more likely to fall in though you'd have to adjust spawn points for it.

I thought this would be a portal style map where the ball would go through the bottom and spawn up top
imagine a game where the floor and ceilings are just portals... so you are just falling through a repeated game forever but you can still fly and hit the ball. As you are playing you just see an infinite mirror above and below you of your game, and as you go down or up you just keep playing

You should do this again but make the whole ground water and a super tall ceiling so you can only land on the walls
New map idea for Leth: make a map kind of like this one but there is NO floor or ceiling with a bottomless pit as the floor and if the ball hits rock bottom then it gets teleported to max height but if players hit rock bottom, they dont teleport, they just die
I have a cool map idea (idk did u do it already if no, then good). The floor and the roof are portals, so they just telleport if it goes through the portal
rocket league. but with regular foot ball rules. Like out of bound plays, kickoffs, off sides, goaly
I think a really good idea would be if you make a map where every time someone hits the ball the map gets smaller or the other way around
Rocket league but where you hit the ball in a standard goal matters ex. top righters equal 3 points and the middle subtracts a point and the sides are 1 point and bottom corners are 2 points.
this map might benefit from having limited boost, having to manage your boost enough to hit the ball and make sure you don't fall in at the same time
Imagine mixing this with the sumo mode
If you added high gravity to this it might make for some fun

When I first saw this I thought it would be that there were only walls and the walls would kind of "magnetize" the cars and the ball.
Where the wild things are map, but the wild things randomly swipe into the map destroying cars
@Lethamyr you should make a map where the walls ceiling and floor are invisible but the car and ball can still drive on them. The map looks like an endless void with 2 goals but its actually a normal map
I'd like to see this again but on a regular-sized field. I'm not sure the extra length really added anything (that's not what she said)

You should make a standard map with the portal map floor and ceiling where you score in the goals rather than the portal being points. Prob would be cursed, but good content

Yo, what if one teammate has to stay on one side of the field? So you kinda have 2 1v1s but you can/have to pass over the mid to score.
There still is a floor, only the goal is just higher up

With that I mean both: doing the same thing, but for side walls. AND also doing the same thing but the car can't go up or down, but the ball can. That might create a situation where the ball is stuck in the ground and you can't react it, if the ball is not hit within like 5 seconds (and is below the minimum height your cars can go) by any player, you can make it pop, so it gets high again.
How about normal rl map but with boost pads on the roof and walls too
