Check out my Custom Lure Painting Log Book
If you are new to lure painting this is probably one of the best tools you can have. When I first started painting fishing lures I was so excited that I jumped in and started painting lure blanks without even thinking I may have to reproduce that lure again. A year later I wished I had this log book back then, because after painting a couple hundred lures sometimes remembering the colors I used, or where I even ordered the blank from became a problem.

Made those laminated with a orange recipe I have. Gave a few to my friend they came in 3rd place out of almost 600 boats. He liked em to say the least😂. Ended up trading me a finished granite top for my bathroom sink for a few packs.

Excellent video. Thanks for showing us how to do this. I look forward to trying this. Which DeadOn Plastix do you recommend for making stick baits? Red Label or others? Medium or Soft? Thanks.

I usually use the worm blend white label, I have mixed 50/50 worm blend and swimbait blend for a little firmer and slightly faster sink. Glad you liked the video Thanks for Watching!

Subd. Im about a year into making baits, Chris made me an addict too. I really enjoy this hobby, its a nice escape from the daily grind. Not getting much business these days because I dont use the big social media platforms....pretty much rely on word of mouth. Considering hitting up a few local tournaments to drum up some business. If you dont mind my asking, where did you get the stickers made?

Thank you for the support! Stay at it! It took me time to build my customer base word of mouth is the best form of advertising. Try to find local events in your area where you can set-up a table and get your name out there. At first you might only have a few sales but don't get discouraged. I have returning customers who I have met at local events who either contact me for orders or come everytime I set-up my booth. Stay tuned to the channel I'll have business stuff coming up this year!

Hello Crusty, great video, I always wondered about soft plastics, got a question for you, how do you package your crankbaits for sale???? On a different note I finally sold my first lures 4 to be exact K.O.B.B (kranky ole bastard baits) has finally reached a business, did the first lure I painted (that we traded) ever catch anything?

You might try Alibaba or Ebay most companies over here don't ship International because the cost for shipping is outrageous. Good Luck and Thanks for Watching!

I don't normally because of shipping costs would make them so expensive. Plastic baits are heavy in bulk but if you want to contact me by email I can check on the costs for an order. admin@crustycranks.com
