    Grande Chilenos 💪💪🇨🇱🇨🇱
    Thank you Maori All Blacks for coming to our country. This means a lot to Chilean Rugby. Chilean players do not have much support normally, but your visit has put the spotlight on them and the sport, which makes the Rugby community in Chile grow. You have planted a seed that hopefully will thrive and turn Rugby in Chile into a professional sport.
    Thank you so much again.
    I hope that one day we will be able to face the Maori again, but believe me, the scores will be more even next time 😉

      It's good fun to see it as a kiwi, regardless of the scoreline.
      It's simply the fact that rugby is going to uncharted locations, unknown locales, that's the fun part.

    Rugby is still considered an upperclass sport in that country, eventhough a lot of people are saying it's good for the learning process I feel it will not garner much support after that humiliating defeat. Chilean rugby should play teams at their own level while promoting the sport outside the upperclass.
    Making sure the whole nation can play rugby is the first step towards the rugby elite. Rugby is played by all classes in Ireland. In munster(specifically Limerick) rugby is primarily a working class game.

      @leopoldoortiz7758 Před 5 lety

      Keanu Phoenix and the other problem si that Football is much more profitable. A football player can make decent money playing in our local league while in rugby we just have an amateur league. So yeah the main problems are the genetics and lack of opportunities.

    NZ rugby board keep sending the maori all blacks to south America to play Chile n brazil to help these brothers become better. I can see they have all the skills but if they sharpen there defence specially the back line defence I believe they can beat alot of countries in the future. They have speed good tacklers n passing n good entertainers with the ball in hand breaking the line. I hope they come to n.z to play so I can go to support them .

    Do you guys think Tier 2 and Tier 3 nationals should be scheduling matches vs Tier 1 nations? Even if it’s a reserve squad, I’m not sure getting embarrassed in front of a full stadium of your fans helps grow the game... Maori All Blacks are just too strong for Tier 2 nations, I think we’d be better off playing each other in competitive matches than getting embarrassed.

    • @pedrothevenard
      @pedrothevenard Před 5 lety +2

      Tier 2 nations play each other 20 times a year, once or twice every 5 years playing someone a lot better is good for the sport, helps you visualize the gap between you and the top teams, I'm from Brazil we lost 35 X 3 last week to the MAB it could have been a lot more it wouldn't matter, to know the difference is a good thing, 5 years ago we lost to Portugal by 60+ points, last year we beat them by 7, we lost by 30 points to Germany a few years back than we went back there and lost by 2, you play the better nation, take a beating go back to work and get better, go back again and try to win, we play Argentinas version of the Maori all blacks named Argentina 15, we lost 5 times in a row until this year when we beat them by a try, we lost to Uruguay every single game, but we use to lose by 50 to 80 points now we lose by 1 try or 2, we almost won a few times, that's the way to grow, you get beaten go back to work and get better.

    • @adub4ever
      @adub4ever Před 5 lety

      Pedro Thevenard I understand playing better competition. Of course you wanna test yourself vs the best, but there are other Tier 1 or Tier 2 nations that could provide the competition without embarrassment. Instead of playing Māori All Blacks, why not schedule France, Scotland, Italy, Fiji, Japan, Samoa? I just see any New Zealand team, even Māori All Blacks being far beyond the level of Tier 2 nations.

    • @pedrothevenard
      @pedrothevenard Před 5 lety

      @@adub4ever We do when we can, and for the record Fiji is as strong as the MAB if not stronger (I would bet they would win by 20 to 30 points), and both France and Scotland would completely destroy this MAB by 60+ points, France and Scotland can beat the regular all blacks on a good day, if you are talking about the second team of this countries we play the second team from Argentina every year sometimes 2 or 3 times, and for the record there's no shame in losing by 60 points to a better opponent, it's a part of the growing process.

    • @adub4ever
      @adub4ever Před 5 lety

      Pedro Thevenard For the record I was more talking about B or C squads for the Tier 1 nations. Māori All Blacks would beat Italy, Fiji, and probably Japan too IMO. To me, Māori All Blacks would be a top 10 team internationally, so I think it’s hard for the Tier 2 nations like US & Chile to have a real chance vs these guys.
