The middleweight division is really low talent like Izzy hit the jackpot with this division never before was it this trash like Jared, Vettori, Costa, Sean, Dricus are all mediocre like Rob is talented but Adesanya is just way bigger than him. Jackpot GOAT of Middleweight but look who are his opponents, name one more division where the champion is a pure striker with 0 grappling, there are none.
Only once Izzy came into the division did it seem less competitive...His talent makes it seem that way...Even the OG's like Yoel felt like he couldn't really do anything offensively towards Izzy and would rather wait for him to make the first mistake...Keep in mind that Yoel has already vs bigger and longer opponents like Rockhold who also had good grappling when compared to Izzy's

Weidman then loses to Rockhold who loses to Bisping who in turn loses to GSP and all of them left the division or became irrelevant to the rankings. The division was left with old Romero and Costa as the top contenders with Whittaker as the champion. It stands nearly the same today with old fighters or underskilled contenders.

And there's the fact that Chael was the biggest threat to prime Anderson despite Chael losing half of all his fights. The division has always had competition issues. Plus a 46 year old was a legitimate top 5 contender and got a title shot. This literally couldn't happen in any other division. I can go on all day

the thing with adesanya vs strickland that I'm realising is that some of their best weapons (for both of them) are the other's primary weakness. Strickland as a very strong jab and that's been an adesanya weakness in the past due to it messing with counterpunching rythm and for Adesanya, he's got leg kicks that are definitely a weakness to strickland's heavy lead foot stance. All I gotta say is I called it, thank me later, btw, shout out to the puppy
Not really...Izzy is smarter and more accurate...Statistically Sean has a much higher chance of beating Alex than he does Izzy...Alex is more likely to take damage and get caught and has no wrestling/grappling defense when compared to Izzy's...And Sean does have some pretty decent grappling...Enough to take Alex down atleast.

Adesanya vs Dricuss Du Plessis would be a more entertaining fight than Strickland.
