How did I go 25 years on this planet without realizing the center of the sunflower are all seeds..... I've eaten sunflower seeds before but somehow never put 1 and 1 together, so weird.
I grow sunflowers so I was surprised when other people were just discovering the head is the seeds. They’re also edible, but it seems a lot of people didn’t know that either. Well the more you know!
I was going to say the same as the commenter above. They can actually be up to 4 times larger than this i think. They can also grow taller than or as tall as a house!!
As a Kansan, I know sunflower, and they are HUGE! Oh average, around 3 feet tall, but the tallest recorded one was a whopping 30 feet! The heads typically have 4-12 inch diameter, the largest being 32 inches!
This reminds me of childhood, my Grandma used to plant sunflowers! We would always eat some of the seeds together and also give them out to our neighbors.
The composition of sunflower heads is fascinating. Just the way the seeds are arranged in that perfect pattern and how they come out. It’s just amazing! Not me. I have a black thumb, I've killed cacti. Seriously, I pity any plant tended by me. As a child I did take part in the street sunflower growing competition (bless my mother for organising that) and most years mine would die first.

@@lizanna6390 Depending on your habitat, there's food you can grow that you can just plant and forget. Michigan, blueberries and real wintergreen does well. Corn country is heaven for corn, beans, and cucumbers. Southeast, sweet potatoes are beautiful and do their thing whether you like it or not. Just gotta find your thing. Cacti need water every month or two. Any more, they die

As someone who loves ASMR and also has Trypophobia (which is an aversion or fear of clusters of small holes, bumps, or patterns.) I am both relaxed and unnerved and the same time.
I don’t have trypophobia, but I’m terrified of bugs and looking at this for too long makes me feel like a bunch of bees are going to fly out of it? I can’t explain it. Love the sound though, listening with my phone face down haha. So original and so good!
Yup! That’s trypophobia! It’s your instincts telling you to stay away from things with similar patterns. (A bees nest) it’s more natural and having to do with nature than the pattern. Me too!
This doesn't bother my trypophobia because it's an orderly pattern. It's only random dot patterns like those seed pods with the holes that really bother me

@@WatchingWhileAsleep stop. They're literally fuzzy until it becomes seeds. It doesnt last long. It's very reasonable not to think the entire head is seeds when you've seen it before as fuzz. Just like how many people don't know that dandelions are the white fuzzy wish making flowers and also the orange flowers. They're the same plant but nobody ever imagines dandelions in their orange state. Not knowing it's the same thing is very normal

i recently found out that butterflies feed off of human sweat and blood, mud, and other animal's tears and blood. to this day, i don't know how to feel about that information.

@@xCharlotte21xx Yeah for me, it’s not just clusters of holes, but also clusters of small round objects like these seeds that resemble a giant cluster of insect eggsacks. As a kid I HATED seeing the inside of bell peppers and was compelled to scrape all the seeds out as fast as possible, much to my family’s bewilderment. Pomegranates creep me out too for the same reason.

It's so funny everyone is talking about seeds and realising you can eat them and in Spain is like...... if you watch tv or a match, you have to eat seeds. It's like a very big tradition here. We have spicy ones, the salty ones (i love themmmm). Btw, they are INSIDE, so you have to crack them with your teeth. They also help to your anxiety issues 💞🤗
@@seika3926 you buy them in plastic packaging, already out of the sunflower, tho! In case you didn't know. For me it works the other way for anxiety, since I start eating and I don't even notice how much I've eaten until it's "too late" hahaha, but maybe you find them comforting, I really hope it works, good luck!

A new favorite. The individual seed picking, then tweezer plucking, and the dropping of them into the wooden cup and even the gentle brushing of the sunflower around the wicker surface when it was time to rotate it all made this a soothing asmr video. Nice work Bakery!

One day he stood before the class, where he often did, behind the wooden table that was flanked by tall cabinets of jars full of fascinating and grotesque specimens. From his pocket he pulled a very worn, brown paper bag. He uncrumpled the soft bag, reached his hand inside, and pulled out a handful of beans. As he spoke he spread the beans out onto a brown paper towel on the table top, and he pushed the beans around a bit. I couldn't tell you anything he said and can only assume the objective of the lesson now, but I remember the sounds of the bag and the beans and the beauty of it all like it was yesterday all because of these sunflower seeds. 🌻❤

A new favorite. The individual seed picking, then tweezer plucking, and the dropping of them into the wooden cup and even the gentle brushing of the sunflower around the wicker surface when it was time to rotate it all made this a soothing asmr video. Nice work Bakery!

My 7th grade science teacher was fond of teaching with visual props. One day he stood before the class, where he often did, behind the wooden table that was flanked by tall cabinets of jars full of fascinating and grotesque specimens. From his pocket he pulled a very worn, brown paper bag. He uncrumpled the soft bag, reached his hand inside, and pulled out a handful of beans. As he spoke he spread the beans out onto a brown paper towel on the table top, and he pushed the beans around a bit. I couldn't tell you anything he said and can only assume the objective of the lesson now, but I remember the sounds of the bag and the beans and the beauty of it all like it was yesterday all because of these sunflower seeds. 🌻❤
