This was one of my first euro games that I had bought when it came out. We enjoyed it very much. It definitely was chunkier and improved through the expansions that it had. Unfortunately, eventually it just didn’t come out enough on the table to keep it. Besides, with all the expansions I had, it was valuable for sale. I definitely recommend this as a light family game. It’s a shame that they don’t have the Petting zoo as a module with this reprinting. It was pretty much a necessary expansion to make the game better. I think that Aquaretto added some nice things that improved on Zooloretto very much. Zooloretto later added an expansion that copied some of the mechanisms from Aquaretto and really added to the weight of the game.

They made a sequel called Aquaretto and I loved it because you also had to consider tile placement.
Which expansions would you recommend?
the expansions he spoke of were from the old printing. I doubt they are compatible nor do I know if they made any for this printing.
