    Fun trip, books are addicting. I found House if Eve in a free little library , hope to read soon. Luna and her snoring like hearing that.

    I loved visiting all these bookstores! I would love to read The House of Eve when you finish it. I'm looking forward to reading A Brief History of Seven Killings. That was such a cool edition!

    Go as a River sounds so good. I love literary/historical fiction. Ordering now. Thanks for the rec and a fun video series.

    'Good Night, Irene' sounds wonderful. And I've heard great things about other Luis Urrea books. Might be time to bump the author up the tbr.

      My mom mentioned that she’s really enjoyed some of his other books.

    These are beautiful bookstores! I haven't heard of any of these books other than Brief History of Seven Killings. They all look really interesting 😊

      Yes! They were pretty nice. And me either, except for Goodnight Irene and Seven Killings.

    The pet snores (I’m assuming?) in the background killed me, they kept making me giggle so hard! I lived in Tucson Arizona for many years so the bits of scenery were very nostalgic. The bookstore cafe sounds like a dream! Such beautiful bookstores.

      Yes! That is my dog Luna. She is a frequent sound affect and often makes cameos in my videos. :) oh nice! I’ve never been to Tucson, but I am slowly getting to know Arizona a bit more. We go out to Flagstaff and Sedona fairly often since it’s only a couple of hours from us in Las Vegas.

      @@BandysBooks Oh nice! I grew up in the desert but the weather never grew on me. I'm on the east coast now, in the DC area, and I do much better here lol. It's kind of nice to have shorter distances to travel nearby, and having the option of taking a train, but roadtrips really make traveling part of the fun.

      @@karlalikestoread DC is a fun city. I’ve visited before. :) A train would be so nice, but you know west coast has no public transport.

    Thanks for listing the books in the notes as that is helpful. I can never watch your segments indoors, , as those fast panning shot induce motion sickness in me.

    • @BandysBooks
      @BandysBooks  Před 3 měsíci

      I’m glad the notes are helpful. I’m sorry to hear that the fast panning shots make you feel sick. I don’t know if it would help, but you can adjust the video speed if you ever want to slow it down. Otherwise, I always include time stamps so you can skip around the video if you want.

      @BandysBooks No worries. It's a bit of a shibboleth, true. I think most folks believe it's either Spanish or Indigenous, when neither is true: it's Greek. That ancient sister city for whom Tempe, AZ, is named is pronounced the same, somewhat unexpected, way.

    • @BandysBooks
      @BandysBooks  Před 3 měsíci

      @@television4994 I didn’t assume it was Spanish or anything else. I’m just not from there, so I didn’t know what the local pronunciation was. I appreciate the history though.
