U a deion hater dude
Travis Hunter is sacrificed. They're going to take his brain. He was the Ram's sacrifice. He's not going to come back the same. These w ppl are not Human. Aliens. Wake up.
Why can’t people tell the real reason why they hate Coach prime. The way he is now is the way he’s always been.
He's black and he brags too much white people don't like that.... unless "THEY" are doing it like Conor McGregor or Johnny Manziel.
Black and successful!!!
🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
Ty!!!!!!!… remember when he had the juiciest curl and the biggest gold chain ever
They can never tell the truth. It's sad 2023 and the racist are still dumb as ever . Keep poking Prime and he will never stop putting it in there face
He's more than just a coach, he can call up Warren Sapp, Michael Irvin, and other Hall of Famers to come down to Boulder Colorado and give his D-Line wide receivers etc some tips and tricks on how to be great. There aren't many college coaches that have that kind of Hall of Fame talent access!
I don't know of any that has the number that he has on his speed. They might have a few but not the sheer volume. The HOFer love him!!!! Just love him and would do anything for him.
Are you aware most power 5 programs have hall of fame alumni that would also do that for their school.
@@JJ-zr6futheir school yes
But for Deion its on a more personal level. These players rock with him for him. Not because of any team/school associations
@@ainnocent The 'Noles didn't ask. We don't really know which HOF'ers are asked to coach or not. Besides Great players don't necessarily make great coaches. Deion is an anomaly, always has been.
@@JJ-zr6fu “their school” he had TO & Sapp at JSU last year and at CU this year they’re not alumni of either school. It’s not even remotely the same
The other coaches fear him because …read between the lines here. He has proved to be a superstar athlete, he’s played and dominated in every sport he’s played, he’s also not from a very good place… like most players. Players can easily relate to him which is why everybody wanna play with and support prime. He literally boosted their economy. Just imagine if there were more head coaches like prime. He’s not a cookie cutter coach he’s raw and honest. Plus his motivational speeches get me hype too😂😂😂so just imagine the hs kids looking at what he’s doing. No doubt he’s gonna have a good recruiting experience
And he’s said it many times before. He’s been the kid being recruited, he’s been the parent of a child being recruited (not only Shedeur & Shiloh but his oldest son who runs his social media played at SMU) , and he’s been the coach doing the recruiter. He’s sat on all sides and know what the players want, what the parents want and how to go about it best in a genuine manner.
Great take...
The way Deion is boosting the local economy in boulder reminds me of Lebron during his Cleveland days. It was well documented that while he played for the Cavaliers the economy skyrocketed bc everyone wanted to see Lebron play (so they’re booking hotels, eating local food, going shopping in the area, etc) and as soon as he left for the Lakers it plummeted again. Deion is doing the exact same thing by having all types of legends and celebrities present and by making CU home games a must attend event.
I'm not sure what you mean by "he's not from a good place" Do you mean a 'privileged" place? Because privilege does not equal " good". Just ask Lori Laughlin . I came from a lower middle class single mother household and it was all good because my mother taught us GOOD morals, Good character and to value education. She was an educator. It was ALL GOOD. So was Deions upbringing.
He and his son need to stop acting niggardly
Ok, lets forget how mainstream and independent media didnt act like he was the worst coach in the world letting 80% of the team hit the portal.
Too bad you don't know what you are talking about because they left on their own. They were not going to make to team nor keep their scholarships anyway. Stop pushing that bullshit narrative.
Exactly. Now that he has won a few games they stepped off a little. When he loses a game they’ll be back. They are just busy moving the bar.
Right. To that point, those kids he let go are not entitled to a position on that team. He was hired to build a winner. They weren't his recruits. He owed them nothing, and he gave them opportunity. Some left without choosing to compete. Some tried and didn't cut it, and some rose to the occasion and are currently playing for him. That's life. I have a tremendous amount of respect for those kids who stuck it out and competed. Even those who got cut after competing I'm sure will do fine in whatever they do, as they have character. Those who Deion kept are who he wants. Guys that fight for something. Guys that can earn. Though it hasn't played out yet, we get a glimpse of where it's going.
I don't think there's anything wrong with disliking the changes to college football. Now, you can't express that without being a Prime hater. It's just like politics. The majority of people can't handle a conversation that contains any amount of nuance.
@@tetoffense7659 what’s making you say people
Can’t handle a conversation. Calling someone out that was wrong?
Why didn't you mention these coaches fear of more 5 star recruits going to his program or did I miss this?
He's certainly entertaining. And he's winning. And the model of having in house influencers open the curtain is engaging. He's polarizing because he's challenging the norms, and people hate change.
I beg to disagree...
It's not people (in general) that don't like change. That's the "both sides" defense for certain people of a particular race/sex that don't like change from someone that looks like Coach Prime...
Let's not try to fluff over this
@@andrealeyewell I beg to disagree...
College football fans are weary of the changes because we loved the game as it was. If you watch this channel, it's been discussed to great lengths, and to great lengths before and without any mention of Coach Prime. It's only made about "someone who looks like Coach Prime" by people who look like Coach Prime. It's a lazy default.
Let's not try to fluff over this
People hate their power and influence being disrupted. The networks like the attention that Sanders brings, but they don't like the way he can thumb his nose at them because he doesn't need them. They don't like that his making a path for others to follow the model of usurping the media powers.
@@andrealeyewell there is a certain racist element to it because those same people are not as upset about an old, white coach doing the same thing. But, the media power brokers don't like anyone who is able to usurp the power and authority they have. They simply speak up more when a black man does it, versus a white man doing it.
A minor correction which I believe you no doubt understand. Established power structures hate change, unless they're the beneficiaries of that change.
Other coaches are hating bc they will be expected to do the same, but they can’t. Deion is a unique situation.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
We will protect him at all costs
Yep, I'm a Georgia Dawgs fan/Colorado buffs fan too because I love coach P.T. message & attitudes to his team, because he does it his way, and he don't give asf what a random outsider hater has to say, that's how my teams coach smart has his players think in there mentality," let your haters be your motivators" they never go out work is, we too focused chasing on winning championships🏆 over here, and that's how you gotta do it broski, especially if it's leading to success, Coach prime got something going on up there at Colorado and it got haters who can't relate in there feelings 😂😂😂
How do you build a broken Football Program in a world of NIL and Transfer Portal? Deion is giving us a master class and showing us all how to do it!
The only problem is that, until cloning technology becomes more sophisticated, what he's doing can't be replicated.
For now. This hasn't played out. And Deion didn't have some great insight into how it would be done. Charisma is a huge driver in leadership. Deion has that and much more. The other coaches just didn't have the same kind of draw he has. The transfer portal rules will be changed...and you'll all cry racism. Count on both.
The transfer portal rules may very well be changed; equity is only a matter of concern to the majority when they perceive themselves to be operating at a disadvantage. They then, through sheer force of numbers, act swiftly to create circumstances that are more favorable.. No surprise there. @@DiMOOSE1
To the degree that Deion is doing it..100%.. How many HoF coaches are there? @@kevingarris198
Honestly, I've been super impressed with Deion. The way he interacts with players and gets his team fired up is awesome to watch and, if I were a big time recruit, I would at least consider playing for Colorado because of him. My only annoyance is the media's obsession with him, but I still get it, because he's the biggest deal in the sport right now.

I love Coach Prime's honesty, integrity, courage and most of all, his creativity. He does the "little things" other coaches would think are "silly" but they're not. Gourmet food in the mess hall. Custom made bespoke suits for the entire team to wear when they come off the bus, and dozens of things like that. Coach Prime brings the player's self-esteem to a new level. They feel good about themselves and what they're doing, and they BELIEVE. Colorado has only played 2 games and his players are household names. I love it!
Josh, you are right. I grew up in colorado but moved away. I've never cheered for CU but this last month, I've bought a jersey and a CU cap. On top of that Coach prime brought you to me! I've subscribe to your channel and have become a Pate fan! Keep up the good work!

He says the quiet part out loud and is a non-conformist. We live in a world of hyper-sensitive people who are threatened by that. I'd rather someone give honest answers even if I don't always agree with them instead of banal coach speak. I like the Mike Gundys and Dion Sanders of the world.
It has zilch to do with everything you said, but resides in the two names you put together. Mike Gundy is an insincere snake oil salesman in it for himself just as the majority of CFB HC's while Deion Sanders is authentically himself and has a long well known history (within the sport) of caring about the well being of others. Combine that with his marketing ability, media savvy and athletic track record and you get a force.

JP, great point. I saw that look in Matt Rhule eyes last Saturday that said "holy crap, i'm screwed based on what Coach Prime is doing!". He literally had the deer in the headlights look!!
Truth. Deion does things his way, and does not hesitate to break away from old crusty traditions and processes. He wants to control everything, down to what menus are available on campus. that just rubs a fair number of people the wrong way. A lot of the old timers who dislike a bunch of social media exposure, and insider content, Deion thrives off that stuff. He loves all the attention he can get for himself, his family, and his program.
Deion is a very non-traditionalist in an area that is full of tradition and history. and the old skoolers just simply don't like it. Well tough.
And they can thank the transfer portal changes for all of it. None of this would have been possible without the ability to clean house like he did, not in a million years.
Don't blame the playa, blame the game. Same rules for everyone, he's just the only one to make the most of the tools provided, with no apologies.
Well Said!....
Funny thing is he's one of the few old school HC's in the game in an era of soft & fuzzy, just get on the field & win era. To put into perspective Prime runs his ship so tight on & off the field he makes Kirby Smart seem like a players coach.
You make valid points. A lot of coaches will be on the hot seat if he succeeds.
Deion is special and not all coaches can do what he has done because unlike Deion, they were not special athletes. Deion has that going for him because who would not want to go play for someone that is one of the greatest athlete and was also able to turn into a special coach that really shows love and respect for his players but also tell players you are not wanted here so hit the door.
He's only "polarizing" because people simply want to see him fail for whatever reason (i think we know what this reasons are).
Yeah because billions are at stake, and the central planners in the NCAA in creating the transfer portal didn't forsee (as no central planners ever do) the unintended consequence of a man like Deion race hustling his way into blowing up the status quo with the Transfer Portal. The rules shall be changed. And all the minions will cry "RACISM!" I'm going to laugh my butt off while averting my eyes from the caricature of sporting, sports have become. Like I did for the last 30 years.

The “low hanging fruit” reasons are definitely reasons for some people.
Coach prime started a d1 college 🏈 revolution. He’s a legend rather you like it or not you can’t take that away from him.
It’s hard to understand why people hate. One thing I do know is good energy will always bring out the negative. I love the way you tell it like it is Josh.
Josh you speak much truth, fair. Appreciate you!
Well said, Josh!
I am still laughing at the old 15 year retired bspn reporter that "randomly" came to the T.C.U game to throw it in Deion's face, except he won. Then Deion asked him "Do you believe now?" And cut him off haha.
That's not what happened. One google search will give you the history. Stop repeating nonsense.
Deion has haters and most of them went quiet after those 1st 2 games. It's not that they are few in number. They were shamed into silence like Josh suggested people do to commenters. They were all over social media and they're still there waiting for some big losses at this point.
As far as coaches... they really don't need to be so afraid of Deion. There are no more Deions around. There's no room for logic in an illogical situation but I don't feel sorry for the current coaches. There was a lot of good old boy hires since forever and that results in guys doing the best they can to recruit talent. Well Deion is not the good old boy hire... he's what they should have been looking for over the last many decades. Any D1 school could have gotten Deion over the years but they don't even look in those directions.
Lastly - Deion is not trying to piss off the media to fuel his program. That's nuts. The media doesn't even hate him... yet. Social media hates him and his team are young men who are on social media. He uses the traditional media to attack social media and he uses social media to make fans a part of his football program.
Well thought commentary my man, though I do have one slight disagreement. Coaches are right to be fearful as he has the most potential thus far to bust the damn open for the lucrative field of FBS coaching and tangentially administrative leadership. IMO That's his importance and thankfully he's shown to be cognizant of that via past comments.

Deion is a smart man and I’m sure he won’t listen to those that say the hate is not what he thinks it is. Recruiting is the lifeblood of college football and no one can relate to the hopes and dreams of young athletes the way that he can. Given equal resources no one will be able to out recruit him.

Somebody really got this guy worked up. He done a entire segment on this lol.
Found this channel by chance and respect your take Josh. Here's my opinion as a black man. I believe the "implication" and low-hanging fruit your referring to is race (and if not, disregard everything that follows). My POV is I agree with you that the certain halls in the media, coaching ranks, etc. are threatened... and that's the main part of it their beef. However, I think where a white person is the threat, there's a more willing respect and acceptance. Saban has been big dawg in the yard, and coaches may fear him or be threatened, but they respect him, admire him and believe there is a model he has established that can be emulated. Black success is usually doubted, attributed to some sleight of hand and ultimately if possible torpedoed via media mechanisms. So as much as you or I may hate it, there are patterns whenever this dynamic is in play. Imagine for instance that Deion IS the best coach we've seen in decades... how many people in the establishment would readily accept that (despite the guy being the best all time at his position, supremely motivated and a brilliant IQ player)
In the 1990s I would likely agree with you, but today, there's far more white knights who just want to appear "woke" and progressive and who don't have a shred of genuine tact when it comes to this stuff. I say this as a white man, I prefer to let folks fight their own battles. Anyone, because if you don't it's like having the annoying kid in your office during take your kid to work day. Just another noise maker in the room making your life difficult.
Coach prime is fastracking success which goes against traditional college coaches.
I haven’t watched a college game in a decade or more. I was tired of the Nick Saban’s of the world. But we a have a real dude now in Deion. So I’m back.
Old School, will always be threatening to new generation of sports journalists
It is still astounding that Auburn didn't legit try and hire this guy, he's already doing commercials w Saban, it would have been epic. They don't deserve it anyways but it is astonishing.
Do you genuinely believe what you just said? Think, Why wouldn’t auburn go for an unproven coach from Jackson State that has never been part of a winning program at a high caliber as a coach? We already had Harsin and we saw how that went. So think about it for a second, is it really astonishing that we didn’t try to get him? The jury is still out on Freeze don’t get me wrong, but he has won everywhere he has been and is one of the only coaches to beat Saban during the peak of all his championship runs. So anyone who is doubting auburn’s decision is either a casual or not being genuine and wanting to hate. And news flash for everyone: Deion has won 2 games, not 12. He faced a washed TCU team and Nebraska, need I explain more? Don’t get me wrong, he is making leaps and bounds and I’m not denying that what he’s done has been crazy and impressive. But to sit here and act like it was bad for Auburn to not “try and hire this guy” is just completely ignoring the obvious facts.
Just Know Dieon Got A ARMY of Supporters Behind Him 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🔪

Tell em' Josh. Patience will be out the door.
I remember when Colorado was a hot and cool program back in the 90s. I feel like Prime Time has simply tapped into whatever that was at that time. He knows and understands what Colorado was back in the 90s.
I am as big time a college football fan as they come. I don't like the way Coach Prime basically kicked out a bunch of players to bring guys he wanted, but that's what the sport is now. I think he has grabbed a whole lot of attention, but Colorado will probably lose 5-6 games this season. Reality of a lack of talent on the lines will bring Colorado back down from the stratosphere. But, the real interesting part will be, what about Colorado when he is able to get better talent in the trenches? Watch out, college football. Colorado was big time before. Shouldn't be crazy to think of Colorado as a perennial top 5 program again.
Watching Prime and CU is better than watching Netflix and ESPN combined.

the vast majority of the discussion around Deion for months was about painting him like a tyrannical taskmaster who was screwing over Jackson/HBCU’s and Colorado players and just being a clown of CFB. They got all the attention because the media and general public sad expecting this all to blow up in his face day 1, expecting his downfall regardless of if they genuine disliked him/bought into the narrative or just couldn’t believe his methods was gonna work and thinking this year was CFB wad gonna be like everywhere other year.
And the in all did a 180 when they beat TCU, suddenly it wasn’t just everyone expecting epic failure. Now the side that wants and believes in Deion and Colorado is louder than the dissenters.
You're the drive-by guy he referred to in the video😂😂, read the jsu/prime headlines and now you know it all... the frustrating thing was his sales pitch... He already had the job he did not have to insinuate that God had ordained him to coach at an HBCU... He could have simply said "I'm grateful for the opportunity and we're going to turn this around yesterday"... But since he painted the original picture in such a way it seemed long-term to fans, and of course they'd be upset... but as a guy who watched all 2.5 seasons at Jackson... and of course still following prime, Shedeur, and Travis... I think this is great for college football but mostly for the PLAYERS... imagine being 85% of an entire sport yet only 1% of all the coaches look like you😂 it's crazy
@@gnarlieybrown4214Stop it! You're making up BS
@@c.kizzee8961 🤣🤣🤣 another drive-by from a guy that had NO IDEA WTF HE'S TALKING ABOUT😘 Go figure😏😎
@@gnarlieybrown4214 Nah, kid. I actually played college ball.
@@gnarlieybrown4214 "imagine being 85% of an entire sport yet only 1% of all the coaches look like you😂 it's crazy"
I know man, imagine being in that rare 15% of white players that have to play for that 1% of coaches that don't look like you, you know that odd coach that looks like Deion. Tragic!
There is one consolation, At least the main assistants are token whites who aren't contributing to the success of the team.
Keep making it about race morons. I'd have loved playing for him.
God I love this Deion story. It’s magic 🔥 come over to Ohio State Deion, we’d welcome you with open arms, love, and your pick of the litter with recruits. We have the best WR recruiting coach in the nation. Come on over and let’s get these rings 😮💨
Josh my friend i like what you do . But do not down play the hate that's going on speak your truth 💯. I'm 60 years young and the way these people act is horrible
I've never watched college football, Dieon Sanders has gotten me invested. I'm literally a college football fan now.
Next time you are outside at night. look to the north and observe Aurora Boulderalis courtesy of Neon Dion. 🤠
I respect any man who has never tasted alcohol or smoked or gotten high.
I’m riding the CU train 🚂 till the tracks fall apart 😂🤣
I’m reserving my verdict on Deion as a coach and leader of young men until 2028. As a media personality he’s easy to love or despise- depends on ones’s values and triggers.
Great analysis of the Deion phenomenon! I'm the casual college football fan who has been drawn to follow the sport due to Deion. I don't love the fact that he overhauled the Colorado roster, but he worked within the current system to improve the program. What more can you ask of a coach?
Unless someone gets Tom Brady or Payton Manning. It’s Primetime
Neither would garner this type of interest and attention, although both would be attractive to high level quarterback recruits because of the undeniable mentorship both can provide.
Don’t sanitize the haters… don’t give him cover… they’re enough of them that say all the right words in public, but in their little social dynamic, they let it rip… Paul Finebaum gave you a glimpse when he talked about why other schools passed on hiring Deion when Finebaum said “… all the drama,”… 🤔… what drama… so no, don’t sanitize who they are…
These coaches are lucky that coach prime isn't at a top tier football school.
That's an astute observation. The local tradition media in Colorado who have historically covered the Buffs are on the outside looking in. He doesn't really need them. It may cause them to get better or they may just go away. Regardless, Deion is changing a lot of things in college football which so far has been a good thing. College football had gotten stale. That's why the Colorado story is so refreshing.
