Thumbs up is just not sufficient. I only discovered Lauren about a month ago from the Chop Suey collaboration, which gave me chills (strange for that song, but that ending....) This cover is simply superb!!!
You guys kill the Veil or Maya covers together. Mikasa and Echo Chamber are my two favorite songs by them so you can imagine my delight at seeing covers of both hahaha
Laurens voice might be the perfect match to this song. I honestly love this more than the original. I just wish the vocals were brought forward in the mix just a bit more! They sound slightly held back, maybe a little over-compressed. But its not that big of a deal, it's basically perfect!

Hi Lauren, Just a quick shout - discovered your channel & this song yesterday after my wife suggested my listening to a cover you did of "I'm so Sick" by Flyleaf which she loves btw. I'm a British Musician and Voice Actor and have recently re-started my Music again (After too long p**sing around) and its started to gain traction from "One man" soundbites recorded on a mobile phone, edited and uploaded to youtube for fun (Had a habit of forgetting great Ideas so started recording them on my phone) to getting a nice little digital set up, a decent mic and isolation pack etc and accidentally recruiting a Bassist and hopefully - as of writing this - a really talented Lead Guitarist. Not to mention being approached by a couple of folk with regards to wanting radio worthy songs and even playing live at a couple of venues and possibly... just possibly touring with an American band in 2022 should their UK tour happen - Covid permitting obviously. Though it's ultra early days, Its - never the less - started to snowball in a really positive direction and though small now I'm quietly confident I have some great ideas that people are really going to like and that Ive kept hidden away for far too long. Coincidentally its bands like Veil of Maya (*I Love VOM "Members Only") and more independent artists such as "I Built the Sky", Nick Azurin and Intervals that have inspired me most as of late - as both a musician and in terms of drive to finally get my own projects off the ground and now Lauren Babic is another name that I can add to that list. I'm adding you to the "Mad Skills Section" of my channel. You are easily one of the best female vocalists I have heard in a long time and this cover is simply AMAZING - "gonna get played to death now, the Mrs is gonna hate me!" Well done - Epic Voice and Wicked presence - This lady sure can Wail!!! Remember "With Intent" - you'll hopefully hear of us again.
