No, as a matter of fact i use it with a box i built for my FT-818 and with a Genasun RF silent mppt charge controller and its perfectly quiet

Nice review!! I like the power box you have. I just built one myself and have the video over on my channel. It has 3 - 12 volt 7.5 amp/h batteries hooked in parallel. I also have it wired up for solar panel recharging and use a Bioenno folding solar panel to charge the batteries. Thanks for sharing this product review!! Juddie - J & J TOA
