Does anybody else chant "and I'll see ya" along with Dagney every time? 😁💜
Usually I do, LOL
Yup!
ME!
Every time!
i do! i do!
Succulents are actually quite easy as long as you don't overwater them. You would need lots of rocks in the bottom of the cup as they do not like wet feet
Those blue things look to me, like cup holders that you would put in the sand on the beach!
I live in Florida, and yes, those are drink holders. we use them when we go to the beach and camping
When I started loving my plants they stopped dying.
That macramé is fabulous. Back in the day they would sometimes have a piece of glass or a mirror and it was used as a table. Thanks for another great video.
I have had hanging tables! I often wish I’d held on to them
I have used the USA CUPS FOR LIT CANDLES ON MY WALKWAY Memorial day and 4th of July.
Hi Dagny, THANKS for taking me out today. I appreciate the outings so much and thank Jenny for the piano playing, I enjoyed that as well. I hope that you and your family are having a nice holiday weekend. Sending HUGS! Take care!
I have an air plant I put in my Grandmother's small tea cup. I just wadded up some paper towels to hold it up.
My father made a macrame very similar to yours for me in the early 80s. He incorporated a light into the top of it.I hung out side beside my front door. Loved it... so did someone else ...because it was stolen. What a memory!
I have more problems with sustaining air plants than I do succulents. I have a very Boho styled apartment with over 40 plants of all shapes & sizes. I never knew I had a greenthumb because for years I couldn't keep house plants alive simultaneously with my children, lol, but now that my children are grown & out of the house, I'm really enjoying caring for my house plants:) The thing with succulents is people tend to over water them. They are better planted with lots of drainage & a few rocks or gravel at the bottom of their containers. xo
My cousin took lessons on macrame. Everyone else in the class made pot slings. She made a hammock. She's very talented and only took the class so she could make the hammock as a gift for a friend. That's the only macrame she's ever done. That must have been about 40 years ago.
My husband, gave me 5 violet plants, and a begonias, for my birthday, I love plants.
Snake plants are hard too kill also❤❤❤
Jenny is so fortunate to have beautiful long fingers for playing piano. I began playing piano when I was 7 and always struggled with my stubby fingers, lol! Harder to reach an octave!😂😂
The clear glass with flowers. My grandma had those, plates, bowls. No coffee cups or smaller plates and saucers but I have it still. I'm so glad I found this. I'm only 3 of 4 videos in but I've saw you with Jocelyn. One day soon I'm gonna sit down and binge watch your videos as I did hers few years back. Hehehe!
Hi Dagny🌻...The blue Dachshund planter was really cute..I like succulents. I only water them every other week. You want them to be in a pot that the water drains all the way out. I want to try an air plant. Our local Lowe's had some beautiful ones. Colors and healthy looking. I seen a Jade today I should have gotten for $5. They like small pots. I have a very healthy Peace Lily. I received it last year when my Momma and Sissy passed 2wks apart. It hasn't bloomed since last August. But the green is lush and healthy. So I have high hopes. Excited to see what you end up with for Jenny💐
God Bless America is a drink holder for the beach.
Succulents like hot sun, cactus soil. And low water
That macreme hanger looks like it's from the 1970s. My sister made me one back then, very similar to the one you have. I bought a round piece if glass to put inside it, and turned it into a hanging table. That way it wouldn't get damaged by water.
I agree, large circular glass piece in the bottom
I made an off White one many moons ago. Mine had the round glass piece. It definitely keeps the water from damaging it.
I made one into a bedside table by adding glass as well.
Maybe those cup holders are for the beach where you pound the bottoms into the sand.
What a cute idea for the macrame to be a Kitty bed!!💕 🐈⬛💕 That was a great find on the oil lamp parts!
Thank you! 😊
It's amazing to me what people will buy at live auctions sometimes. A poker set just like the one you looked at recently sold for $65 at a live auction house my husband and I go to every other Friday night. I almost choked on my water when they finished. 🤣
Jessica Macklintock has a lovely fragrance. You brought back memories.
Loved going plant shopping with you. Jenny's playing is always soothing. I was so hoping the casserole dish was what you would go back for. I really liked the rose candle holder. Makes me want to get out and shop!!
I love Jessica McClintock perfume!! ❤️
My mother in law made a few of those for us. Not specifically for plants, on the bottom section a round wooden piece git in it for hanging shelf. Hers were beautiful
The brown bowls are called Daisy & Dot by Marcrest
Love the binder of patterns
An aloe plant might work for the Sally mug
Dagny, fun finds. The macrame needs a round glass at the bottom, it is a table. My Ex used to do macrame in the 70’s. Glass on the bottom and sometimes he would put a light kit in the top.
What great finds at Goodwill. Love the Stationary so pretty. Please Stay Safe, Happy And Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Thank you Karla for your support. You have a wonderful day as well💙🐷
Ciba-Geiger is a huge chemical company originating in Switzerland. Just love those snow babies, the faces are so cute! That macramé sure is a statement piece! Thank you for sharing! (Hope Susie got her treat…) happy holiday weekend,
This was a great thrifting trip for you. I love the vintage stationary and the colorful bowls. I always love your videos, so keep them coming. Happy thrifting.
Thank you so much!🐷
That garden center looked class loved the Halloween stuff.
The note paper you found at the end was gorgeous. It was a great find.
Loving your videos! So calming. Thank you!!
Love those bowls and that beautiful candle holder
Awesome haul
So many pretty things!
Yes, do a succulent! I don’t have a green thumb, and I do well with them.
gold purse will be great for someone with the upcomin holidays..
I water my Christmas catas 1 time a month and it does great .
Another AMAZING video!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fun shop, thanks for sharing
I made a similar macrame plant hanger, it probably had a glass piece in bottom part to act as a table for plants etc....I put a ceramic lamp piece in the top of mine.
I made a large macrame plant hanger similar to the one you bought. I had a very large orb shaped terrarium I put in it. I really enjoyed it while I had it.
Succulents are hard. They thrive on neglect and you can grow babies from their leaves. They do need bright indirect light and very good drainage. Gosh,if you weren't so far away I would gift you .I got lots of them .Good luck
That's a cute idea to put a plant in a face coffee cup! Enjoyed this episode as ususl!! Cutest September picture!!!
Love your intro with the Fall decorations. Yes, fall will be here very soon. Jenny practicing the piano, with Susie waiting for a treat was so cute. I want to thank you for moving slower than most people do while making your videos.. Some others go so fast that I get dizzy headed just watching. You do a great job. I always enjoy your content. You have some interesting finds. Hope the meet and greet goes well.
The macreme planter is beautiful and a steal. Thanks for taking us along.
Loved to see the plants Dagney
I love them to much. I give them to much water
I love macrame. That one is huge
Those glasses are amasing
snake plant is great for floor or stand, also hard to kill and cleans the air in the house
My suggestion for succulents is to water them only once per month, like always on the first day. I have killed tons of them too by overwatering, I always feel bad for them when I water the rest of my plants weekly so I water them too! 🙃 Duh! 😛
I had one of those macramie hangers in the 80's they came with round glass I used the top one for a photos plant and the bottom was perfect for an end table at the corner on my livingroom. I loved it!
Thanks to Sam for being an AWESOME employee!! I liked that pottery with the fish at 9:42. Very cute. Those brown bowls were nice. The macrame was super cool. Great little houses/church.
Thank you 😘
Can't wait for the meet n greet! Im coming from VA!
Bird's nest ferns can get huge. I have one that is about two and a half feet across.
I have so many air plants and they have grown so big!! They would look great in the mug.
Hi Dagny, thanks for the plant info 😀 😊 I manage to kill EVERY plant I have ever tried to grow 😅 ☹️😓 You showed me some beautiful treasures!!!🤗🙌🙏
You would like a snake plant aka mother in laws tongue. Easy to care for and great for air purifier. Peace lily are easy too, you just don’t water till they droop. I struggle with succulents too lol. You can get larger air plants.
Very nice bunch of treasures you had fun finding! Your videos are always nice and inviting! Never in a hurry and always informative. Even if you don't know much about the item. You tell us you don't know much about it. It's o.k., we usually don't either and we let you know if we do know. Does that make any sense? Good job Dagny! 👏
I think the cup holders are for the beach.
I love my succulents! They are so easy. Just get the right soil. I use cactus soil, and put a few rocks at the bottom. You only have to water about every 2 weeks. They look great in coffee cups too. I have around 20 different succulents at my work. And 1 that I have is so super easy to propagate. I grow lots of lil babies.
Thanks for the tips!🐷
I used to do a lot of macrame. I think your hanger is for a piece of glass and makes a hanging table.
Love the video 💕💕
Thank you Joyce💜🐷
Oh, Dagny, I have never met a plant I can't kill. My mother had two green thumbs, but I did not inherit them. Fortunately I have a downstairs neighbor that keeps our walkway filled with flowers in the summer! Jenny you are so talented. You are an artist and you play the piano. I think that's wonderful!
That macrame is beautiful . I have sold several of them including ones made completely out of shells.
What a beautiful macrame you found this trip! My grandmother had a large one like that with several tiers. The bottom most tier was a piece of glass for a hanging table. I hadn't thought of that in years. Thank Jenny for the beautiful music today please. Have a great weekend!
Thank you Carrie, you also💜🐷
Team corner!!
This weekend I got all three of the brown nesting bowls for $3.00 at a garage sale. Whoo hoo! Thank you Jenny for sharing your piano time with us. I spent many hours sitting at the piano, but my Mom and Brother were the ones gifted with the ability to play well. Also, my mom made a huge white macrame piece that held a glass round table that was similar in style to the one you bought. It is very pretty.
That’s so funny that u found that apple- the hubs used to work for Ciba Giegy!
TFS 🧡 I enjoyed watching.
Thanks so much🐷
Jenny has beautiful hands😻
Love all the pumpkins they are so different ,loved coming around with you as always Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Thanks so much 😊
I would love to do the meet and great, but almost 10 hours from Michigan and I don't have a traveling partner....have fun
Hello Beautiful Dagney, as Always I enjoyed going along with you shopping. It may have been worth looking up the Paddington bear. Sometimes they are worth a bundle. I wish I could go to the meet and greet but I live in the Pacific North West
Your macrame plant holder originally had a round piece of glass that sat on the bottom ring.
Great finds! I enjoyed meeting you in person for my pick up this week.
It was nice meeting you also Mary🐷
Wow, it's really been a blast from the past kinda vintage day for me, especially since i'll be 60 next week! In '84, while living in San Diego, i went to Tijuana, Mexico with friends & saw a large macrame hanging that had two glass shelves i loved, but didn't buy. I love that macrame is coming back & have two plants hanging on my porch in some. I was watching George, the Antique Nomad today & they were just talking about old stuff; cars, clothing, music, etc & i commented about some rock concerts i attended, such as Charlie Daniels & low & behold, the devil went down to Georgia came on while you were shopping, lol! I tend to stick to succulents & have them both outside & in. I live in KY, which is zone 7, i believe, so they thrive. I have killed 4 aloes by watering & 3 lavenders (idk why).
Love your videos. I have 2 shih tzus. 13 years old and 6 months old. They are the best. I love seeing Susie!
That is awesome!🐷
You can do succulents ! If I can anyone can !! I even propagated some from loose pieces I found at home depot. My tip is the correct soil (cactus). And place some rocks at the bottom for drainage. Also, propagation seemed to work best during sprung for me for some reason. Like mother nature knew it was time to grow !
My mom made macrame wine holders, belts , keys chains, a hanging lamp, a purse. All kinds of stuff in the late 70s !
the blue things you put them down in the sand at the beach and set your cups in them. They may can be put in the ground to
They are beach cup holders....push down in the sand and it holds your can/cup
Jessica McClintock is my favorite perfume 😅
Ive learned that Succulents have shallow roots and dont like there home to be to big. They also like alot of light and to be watered once each but the biggest tip i have for all plants is they Love rainwater! Trust me i bring alot of my plants outside in the summer and the all are so happy! 🌞⛈️🌈
I had a macramé hanger like that at my wedding reception. The grooms Mom and I made it. We hung it in the center of the hall and put a piece of plexiglass in it . The wedding cake was inside it. Of course mine was all white.
Great finds Dagny. I used to make those macrame plant hangers. But that one was epic. I wasn't that good. I also used to love Jessica McClintock perfume. It's smells great. But it's supposed to be clear, so that was pretty old.
Ooh, that's good info to file away!
If you have the spider plant in a pot where its going to grow easily it will crazy. I have one I bought at a farmer's market about 10 years ago its been repotted into a 10 gallon pot recently and its huge.
Succulents are so much easier I have so many different types and cacti too. They just don't like the cold.
The plants you chose are going to be excellent for indoor and if they start stretching out you can make it so they climb around the room on the walls.
I think Sally would look good either with a spider plant or a Venus flytrap
You sound like me with plants. Mother-in-law tongue/snake plants are easy too.
Really liked several of your items today. I have a macrame hanger very similar to your find today, it has a round glass panel that fits the bottom ...very sentimental to me, wouldn't part with it for anything!
Water a succulent when the leaves feel soft....watering will fill them back up
We have shih-tzu! Yours is awesome with those long lashes
The 12 Days of Christmas refers to the 12 days between Christmas day and Epiphany on January 6th.
Hoya are also easy, they even survive cold weather
I think the cups are to put in the sand at the beach to hold your drink.
Eagle burners are a good brand as well
Such amazing humor Dagmar > Todd rundgren and the devil went down to Georgia Hahhahaha
Sometimes I feel like I am at a club when I go to the Goodwill - the music's always thumping!! 😉
O
Love Jens osu t shirt. Go beavers
