Alright everyone, time to get informed. I assume there are a lot of new fans watching this so I hope this helps. This is off of the album Two Faced Charade. In the story the protagonist falls in love with his neighbor, Elise. She unfortunately has a boyfriend. So the protagonist is devastated and starts hearing voices in his head telling him "you have to get her back" The protagonist kills her boyfriend and cuts him into pieces. She eventually finds out and calls the protagonist a monster. Heartbroken and angry the protagonist kills Elise in rage. Immediately regretting the decision he kills himself. Hope this helped. Buy the album it's amazing!

He asked if I'd be at the show and as much as I should have just had my friend and I sneak out and go I didn't lol, I am not even sure if the lead singer is still the same but I am one day going to go to a show, Mom can't tell me no now. Who is with me in 2021 still listening to them with me

I cant stress enough how amazing this band is. I remember back when they first really started getting a good foot in the music scene I never really listened to them. No particular reason why, they were the genre I was into and everything, just didn't. few years ago they opened for a band I was seeing. The entire band got caught at the border and couldn't make it through except the singer (and I think a buddy that helped fill in or something,) and he still put on a full set. He borrowed a guitar from another band, found a tambourine in the back of the venue, and put on a full acoustic set despite having every reason to back out of the show. Absolutely amazing showmanship. Later that year I saw one of my favourite bands. Singer was high as a kite and didn't sing even one entire song. Made me really appreciate what this singer did when he was put in a less than ideal situation. Got to talk to him too, cool dude. By far one of the most memorable concerts I've been too.

The way this song brings together the entire album, particularly at the end when all the different choruses are woven together, is simply impressive. This is my favorite concept album and while the accompanying short film won't be winning any Oscars it brings the story into focus and gives it perspective. Love the song, love the band, love the video.

Oh man this song brings me so many fond memories of my teenage years😅I remember having this song on repeat everyday, got the dvd when the short film was released and freaking out over the lead singer responding to me back and thanking me for purchasing it. I still have a tshirt that came with the bundle. And this song even made my cousin who's never been into alternative music loving it till this day.

What I love about this song is it really shows the musical talent of this band. This song incorporates lyrics and certain beats from the other songs in this album leading up to this finale. It really does feel like the ending of the story.

1.) He kidnapped a girl after the voice in his head told him to, something tells me looking good and shaving weren't top priority
2.) 'No one dies within 10 seconds of being choked" yeah but the songs only 5:44 minutes long, not long enough to fully murder this chick.
3.) This acting is so bad! Famous Last Words is a small band this was their first album and the first music video with a plot (Starting Over was a performance video not a story line video) so they didn't large budge, especially not when you take into consideration the cost of the video it self and the other things starting bands need, JT is a singer not an actor cut the guy some slack.
Stop complain and enjoy the music and the story. this is from 2 years ago, this isn't how JT or the band looks. They've changed some so stop judging. Its a good song a great bad and amazing members.

I'm not usually one for metal, but this is one of my all time favorite songs! The main vocals are great, and I can still understand the lyrics when it gets to the scream/growl part. I love the string instruments in the beginning that quickly lead into the main electric guitar part, and then come back throughout the song. Great song overall!

If I get this correct, then the video is about a girl he likes, but he has a dark side or insanity and then it sometimes takes over him, and when he evil takes over him and kills the girl, he realizes what he had done and then stabs the darker side, but since it's himself and he's insane and he can't see it something only happening in his head, then he stabs himself too, without realizing until it's done?

@@kubaj8397 well they're part of the same scene (INK & FLW) and they're what's dubbed "theatricore" and I think this song was released in 2013 and INK was just doing their horror inspired lyrics that year as well so they're kinda on the same level as idk...PTV and SWS with their relativity (both SWS and PTV are post-hardcore, they aren't influenced by each other they're just part of the same scene.) INK and FLW are metalcore &/or post-hardcore, but they're heavier arguably moreso than SWS and PTV ofc haha
I used that example cause that's what I think of. Or TesseracT and Periphery. They're both prog metal but yeah you get the point. Famous Last Words isn't as talked about though nowadays than INK is because FLW hasn't been releasing much so they're kinda forgotten except for nostalgia but what do I know hahaha 😭
@@twinny_mi INK didn't start doing "theatrical" stu ff till they released Every Trick In The book in 2015. Only a couple songs where theatrical. The lyrics were based off of books. It wasn't till The Silver Scream when they became theatrical. But still they only had a couple of songs that were theatrical and only maybe about a minute of those songs were theatrical. Also The Silver Scream is based off of horror movies. The new single they released for their new album The Silver Scream 2- Welcome to horrorland is pretty theatrical. But I doubt the whole album will be like that.
