- In today's vlog, we travel to Costco, and are buying things, and trying some new food items! We shop around Costco showing what we think are the best deals that make the membership worth it! With grocery prices increasing do to inflation, and other reasons, we are traveling around to find the best sales, and deals, so you don't waste your money! Have been a Costco customer for almost 40 years. They only had stores in Wa. State then. I worked at a food broker for a time, and the person who trained me said the toughest buyers they had to work with were Costco buyers. They will literally fight over a penny 😅 Fun fact for those who don't already know, Costco's brand name Kirtland Signature is named after their 1st store that was in Kirkland Wa.
I'm a WA girl. We moved to oak harbor in 1989 (navy). In '91 when Costco opened in Bellingham, we'd drive just to shop Costco lol.😮

@Barbara-jd2sk I can't remember, it was so long ago. I was only there for 2 weeks and then quit because my experience was in customer service and it became clear that the job was in no way customer service.
I noticed while you were over by the meat dept, the boneless beef ribs. Throw them on the grill or put them in a slow cooker with some salt, pepper & butter. Yummy.

We go to the costco in St Peters Mo. They have the furniture in the same place. I am used to that layout and it is fine. I think it is whatever you are used to!
Stonefire freezes extremely well. i use the larger ones to make homemade pizza (425 degree oven or grill on pizza stone 7 minutes) Yum!

So many watermelons !! Beef prices are definitely on the rise . New York Strips were 9.99 not too long ago . I bought the same bows & tags at Christmas that you & Jess bought at Costco. I’ll have to try their bagels. Thanks for the recommendations .
My Dad once called me to let me know that he “wasn’t a Peach hoarder”….. He just really likes those peaches and they don’t always have them so if you see them you have to buy them. Love your videos!

We don't have a Costco but we upped our Sam's membership for the last 3 months or so. They had the storage containers for $8.98 or so. I got one. I'm enjoying the free or cheap shipping. When I don't feel like going 30 miles to Sam's I order whatever I can that we need. Ihope there's a Costco near where we're moving to.

Kroger has the chuck roast for 5.99 a pound special with a 10 dollar off coupon if you spend 30 dollars. we picked up a chuck roast and a large size shaved streak this morning . Greenfield brand natural apple-wood bacon was on sale for a really good price. Kroger had another coupon if you
spent $ 20 in the freezer section that you saved 6 dollars. Kroger has a good sale going on this week. we canceled our Costco membership. I like watching the Costco shopping videos. We are not going back to Costco unless they make major changes. The location is horrible and the crowds are a nightmare. We have a sam’s club membership!

The KS egg bites with bacon & gruyere cheese are pretty tasty! And the price for the box is a steal when you compare it to the DD + SB versions. Which are over $4 for a 2 pack, iirc.
And the KS chicken sausage with Parm cheese & pepper? Those are delicious. Not always a fan of chicken sausages, but these were good.
My mom swears by the KS canned tomatoes. Diced. Sauce. Paste.
Love the tuna selection. I will say that the Safe Catch cans are pricey, but taste is great. And you don't drain the cans! I was shocked the 1st time I indulged on the brand.
Supposedly, products are ordered by store GM. They choose what is going into their store. So don't be shy asking about wanting something to be available.

It is interesting to see price differences from Costco to Costco. I watch another channel, this lady does Costco from Anchorage, Alaska and another channel they do from Fairbanks, Alaska. Lebannon, TN getting new Sam's and the Costco in Mt. Juliet, TN opened about 1 month ago. In case anyone cares...

We don't have a Costco in Gainesville, wish we did, closest one is 50 miles away, BTW, they are increasing membership fee to $65 starting in Sept.
I saw the price hikes on the membership price on the news. Just wonder how many customers will leave.
I find it odd that you have to pay for the privilege of shopping in their store. Having said that, I have a membership so I can help my DIL with the price of food. And I have a Sam's card too. Both stores are over 30 miles away. Not sure what that says about me. 😃

That’s the one I used to go to before they opened the liberty costco. And Dorothy Lane market is my very favorite store!
I have been to DLM once. Never got to buy anything though. The prices are outrageous!!!! Couldn't afford anything so I never went back. That was many years ago. I probably don't even want to imagine what they are like now!!! It is for sure not a store the average person can afford.

Love Costco!!! Hate they are raising the membership fees, their employees are due a raise, so I heard. I'm sure they deserve their nearly $20 an hour.

First Day back from WDW, arrived yesterday evening.
I Love Disney (Obviously im DVC) but the Nickle and Dime cuts are in Full Play and I dont like it One Bit, from the bedding quality going WAY down, housekeeping using Personal Vehicles for transport of themselves and equipment, no daily housekeeping, i could go on. The Disney Difference is becoming Less and Less and if they think they are to big to fail THEY ARE WRONG!

By comparison, prices rose 5.7% over the previous one-year period in 2023. While inflation isn’t rising as fast as it once was, food still feels expensive. Lots of products doubled and more since 2019, main stream media propaganda lies as ordered by government. Shrinkflation and lower quality ingredients lower the value even more

When I whent shopping yesterday I treated myself to Thomas blueberries bagels on sale for $3.45. They changed their taste 😢I will never get them again. Just like the Pringle chips they changed and they taste bad too. I stop buying them but I used to be able to get the bagless then they raised them and I would only get ones in awhile now as a treat, but they taste bad 👎 and not for that price. They lost me . I will no longer be buying Thomas bagels. 😢
I whent shopping yesterday at woodman's and I saw Maxwell House coffee for $8:89.,but the changed the packaging on it ,but great price 👍. I did see that prices are going up there too 😢.
Our Costco doesn't seem to have much of the good stuff.
I also don't like real sharp cheddar cheese. I like regular sharp, but anything above that is too much!

Costco is healthier than Sam's if you look at a lot of their products, and many times, you can get a special deal on their membership. I only paid 30.00
I used groupon to get my membership last year for $30. I will probably cancel it this year.
Be careful with a lot of their promos though. With a lot of them you can't ship products.

Love my Costco in Bloomingdale, Illinois. They also carry Eddie Bauer clothes. You save enough money on the clothes to justify the membership. A lot of their products don't have a lot of additives. Sams club in our area is not as good.
