Adding the map in the corner that specifies the distance of the target followed by sighting the object in the monocular is the best thing I've seen so far in videos pointing out magnification strength. That's one thing I've been quite interested in - determining if 8X is adequate compared to 10X. For me, it seems like it'll do the trick. Thank you.

Just picked this one up today. I was looking for a monocular and this one was all they had. And it was on sale so why not picked it up and very happy with it
While i prefer binocs to monos, this one looks quite good for its size. nice addition of map too, this way evryone can judge the magnification and its usefulness for their needs.
Exit pupil alone does not determine the light conditions the lens diameter determines how much light it can catch, if the lens size is the same then indeed smaller magnification will work better in lower light conditions , it all depends on your needs and situation when deciding to buy one, but for these prices you can't really complain

I'm undecided between the Solo 8x36 and the Solo 10x36.
I think R/T version is worth considering. Available only in 8x version.
