    Great video! Having gone from a GTS to this Turbo, something that people might not realise, when comparing PCP finance deals between the GTS and Turbo (spec dependent!), due to differences in residuals they both come out fairly similar on finance. Turbo will work out only 2-3k more expensive across 3 years rather than the 10k “cash” price difference.

    Terrific SUV with mega pin sharp steering. I own the outgoing GTS which is unlike your typical SUV.
    I drove the new Macan S and was blown away by it so ordered a new GTS! The steering is seriously impressive.

      Andrew Cunningham Andrew if you were blown away by the S, why didn’t you buy that? I’m trying to get away from my BMW M550x drive to a small suv and the Macan s and GTS are the only desirable ones for me. So, I’m trying to decide between the 2 cars.

      The X3 M comp is a beast and will probably out-drive the Macan Turbo in most situation. But everyone says the X3 M comp has a very harsh ride and unless you are surrounded by highly maintained roads, can be difficult to live with. I am not surprised by this, as I use a M3 comp as my DD and it’s a pretty harsh ride.

      @visionist7 Před 4 lety +2

      I prefer to turn a key and I'm glad Porsche still gives you that option. Should you want you can still spend silly money on a body colour painted key with a leather pouch to match your interior.

      @@visionist7 - You're dead right about the "daft stuff" you can order from Porsche for your car. You can buy a £50k Porsche and easily end up spending another £30k on it.
      That being said. Porsche may not be the fastest cars on the road, but they're certainly one of the best, if not, the best, you can buy. Name me another car brand where you can do multiple, back to back "launch control" starts and the car just wants more? :-))...
      My comment I posted for the Mecan was the fact that you can hoon it around a track in the morning and in the afternoon, take if off roading. I know someone who has a Turbo S and they've done just that and the Porsche didn't bat an eyelid!

    • @martinjn2920
      @martinjn2920 Před 4 lety +1

      @n s I am just surprised that Porsche haven't gone down the route of keyless ignition as a standard feature on all their cars, having to pay for this as an option seems wrong. But BMW are no different, if I want a 12v socket anywhere else other than the front of the car in my X3 it will cost £890 as part of a pack. Bonkers.

      6juliuserving True due to Porsche’s price level. But Macans don’t turn heads im sorry. S, gts or turbo a common person cannot tell the difference. They are everywhere- as common as x3s are and probably more common then x3M tbh (granted x3m is newer model)
      Macan is entry into the Porsche brand but unless you are talking about 911s-macans or cayennes really don’t turn heads .
      Macans price range (50k-100k USD) makes it pretty much an equal to its competitors of bmw/Audi/Benz
      911s tho,or even Carmen gts, now we are talking about true Porsches :)

    Porsche doesn't stand behind the quality of their vehicles. The transfer case on my 2015 Macan S has failed twice now in only 27,000 miles. This is a known issue which caused Porsche to extend their warranty to 7 ys. Their "improved" transfer case lasted only 2 years 2 months and 9,000 miles. I am out of warranty by 6 weeks and Porsche turns their back on problem and sticks me for $3,200 repair. Don't buy a Porsche w/o extended warranty for entire length of time you expect to own it. #1 rated warranty company - Endurance - won't even sell coverage on Macan. That should tell Porsche and all potential buyers something. Customer experience is far from an expected premium car brand experience.

    • @DiscoFang
      @DiscoFang Před rokem

      Interesting. Was just looking at a used Macan that an independant dealer has and they said the transfer case had just been replaced by the main dealer. One reason to buy Porsche for me is the apparent quality. Am really considering the Cayenne after realising the external size difference is almost nothing.

    • @Michael-ub9jb
      @Michael-ub9jb Před rokem

      @@DiscoFang the Cayenne also has transfer case issues for years 2015-2018. Porsche extended the transfer case warranty on Cayennes to 10 years, only 7 years on Macan. The replacement transfer case warranty is only 1 year. I had a Cayenne as a loaner for 9 weeks while my Macan waited for parts during pandemic. Loved it! If I were to buy another Porsche it would be a Cayenne GT coupe. The size difference is more than you might realize. The Cayenne clearly took up more space in my garage. Interior dimension difference is significant.
