- Ellen has been working out, so when Michelle Obama and her famous arms were on the show, Ellen couldn't help but challenge the First Lady to a friendly push-up competition. They also discussed their workout regimens.

I learned in the military that the shorter you are the better you seem to do pushs ups. I'm impressed with both. it's harder when your tall.

Managed to get onto the extended scale back when I went for the civilian challenge program in the Navy. Got 112 push-ups, full range of motion, counted by the recruiter. I honestly think my shorter stature helped me. Same with pull-ups. Got 32 dead-hang pull-ups, I think it's the shorter arms and lower bodyweight that helped.

That's because she has makeup and professional stylists. I've seen her in regular every day photos and trust me, she looks her age. You would be amazed how makeup can transform someone's looks - why do you think virtually every girl wears it? I think many people would be shocked how girls really looked if they couldn't wear makeup.

Just tried 25 "Michelle Obama"-pushups. It actually got my heart rate up, and I think it's a decent warmup for a chest workout :-). Still a lot easier than regular push ups, but I underestimated how hard they are. But I recommend doing less with proper form.
