I just found your channel and am loving your tutorials. I got my 1st decks in the 90s, the Mother Peace and Daughters of the Moon. I just couldn’t get with any other deck at the time. I needed BIPOC in there. People kept telling me what you’re saying here, to learn on the Rider Waite deck, but studying a deck of white folks only and no POC in there…. I couldn’t hang and I didn’t want learning to feel like torture (I learned enough Euro history in school, didn’t need more in my free time). I’d always been on the lookout for POC decks (that weren’t modeled off Euro beauty standards) and they were hard to come by. Anyway, I just came across what’s supposed to be just like the Rider Waite deck, but modernized, multicultural, and LGBTQ-inclusive : The Modern Witch tarot deck. I LOVE IT, and am now scouring CZcams following along Rider Waite tutorials and thrilled I’m able to join in and go back to the basics. I see my other decks in a whole new way now.
You break down the Tarot cards beautifully. It made perfect sense to me now. I will be ordering my first deck soon. I am still learning the basics. 😁❤️

I watched all 11 videos almost back to back cuz i wanted to make it in time for this friend gathering im going to. I didnt retain any of the imformation i need to go back to my notes with almost every card. Now i have to rewatch all 11, Don't be like me people. Also, i was gifted a deck, and the gifters didnt know anything about tarot, so Its not the Reider Waine deck, definitely way more difficult to understand meanings, but im trying to be greatful over here for the gift.
There are cheap decks you can buy to learn.
Just finished the first learn tarot videos and than this pops up. Love it. Thanks for all the amazing insight and guides.

I love your videos! I've been struggling with learning the meanings of the cards, then I came across your channel and watched your videos. You explain everything so well, and really break things down in such a easy to understand approach. For me personally, the way you explained how each suit had its own story in a way, and how each of the suit cards led into & interacted, and effected the other cards in that suit really made everything click for me. Thank you so much because with your videos & content, I'm finally starting to understand Tarot in a way I wasn't able to learn on my own. Love how you explain tarot. You recommend RWS decks, do you have tarot book recommendations?
I noticed while people are reading they are calling upon “spirit” who is spirit and do we need to call upon them while reading? Can we call upon a deceased family member to help us during the reading or is that considered some form of necromancy? I hear many warnings against calling upon the dead so I just want to make sure. Thanks to anyone who can answer this for me.💜💜💜

Should you read cards that JUMP out as you shuffle..
Shuffle and split the deck ..

I suck so much at shuffling but I usually grab whatever jumps out or falls on the ground.
You don’t have to shuffle to jump cards, there are many ways to shuffle and jump card shuffle is usually time consuming. However if something does jump out during shuffle, always keep it.
