careful on the double jump one! if you fall for too long you will be unable to double jump, you will know you have failed when the vignette gets darker, or your animation changes, you gotta hit the jump right before it fades or you are doomed
@@AnzelLmao I've heard that her shotgun can prevent fall damage but I've tried shooting right before falling and it never shoots and I just die.
@@shoobzy3431 you need to spam it a bit before the ground! It takes a bit to go off
Continuous skip is also helpful when you DO NOT want to skip the dialoge.
Especially on consoles where crouch and skip are bound to the same button. No more accidentally fast forwarding through some story moment when you're just trying to stand up (or get down).
That happens too on PC since the skip key is bound to the crouch key by default.
But if you want to cruch without skipping dialoge, just keep the crouch key pressed for a couple seconds.
That's why I remapped the key binding, but there are times the game locks you out of the action while in conversation. Really fucking annoying if I'm being honest.
This happened me during the heist, while waiting in the room. I crouched, then the friend started talking about something, I tried to stand up and it skipped what he was trying to say... and now I will never know what he wanted to say to me 😭
One thing that was added with the Edgerunners update is Rebecca's Shotgun or "Guts" and one of the good features of this gun is it's massive recoil and you can actually use that recoil to prevent getting fall damage after falling from the tallest building by just shooting the ground just before landing it's be actually really helpful to me so far.
Also, you can get her handgun as well when you go to their old place, but someone else lives in there, so I took care if that and said; "How dare you stand where they stood" kinda approach, so yeah
@@bradwhite5884 northside? I thought that place was accessible just because of a contract gig or something...
You think maybe this is actually on purpose as a reference to how she died
One of the secrets that surprised me was that you can actually find Meredith's body if you complete the Pickup in favor of David (that is, by giving Royce the credchip after removing the virus). She's underwater next to the pier directly east of where you find Ebunike.
@@plate_fox ah, no she doesn't. it'd be cool if you could still get the reward for her side of the quest that way
@@rigs9801 would be weird if you found her "iconic" melee weapon on her dead body 😅
For the Maelstrom quest line “The Pickup” you can side with Maelstrom by paying Royce. Or you can also take the chip from Meredith Stout. You can crack the chip and let Royce know that Militech planned to double cross them. This gives you option to get Dum Dum’s legendary iconic pistol since you gain Maelstrom’s trust on “Second Conflict” quest later on.
@@willblast5684 Yeah doom doom is basically a shotgun in revolver form, worth getting
Is there any way to get both dum dum and the weapon from the extra Meredith quest line that normally unlocks from siding with her?
Of you just help Militech against a bunch of violent necrotech raiders, then bang Meridith later as opposed to her being dead for her failure.
I skip dialogues, but not because I hate it - it's because I played so many times I know everything by heart :P
Different life paths have some different convos. Femme Street Kid V has a pretty amusing talk with River up that water tower. My 6th full game...first time with that persona...
I was like half way into the game when I left it… some 2 years ago. After 1.6? I restarted the whole game and plowed through it!!! Absolutely loved it, probably one of my favorite games of the year.
It really is like it should have been two years ago. The game is fantastic in its current state. Having a great time with it, myself!
Same I stopped playing at some large compound out in the wasteland... still not sure what point that was but I went from PS4 back then to a PC now so it's a huge difference I just need to figure out this driving it feels really strange.
@@1andOnlyKB what gun is that at 8:47 ?? I just started playing 2 weeks ago.
The Kiroshi optics don't cause damage to be non-lethal by default. There's a modification for them that causes them to change all your damage to non-lethal, but you have to specifically equip it.
@@dragishawk9564 It also requires a smart link in the hand (the free Tyger Claws one counts). It does NOT require you to use Smartguns, so it's the best of both worlds where you can use power or even charged tech guns and get the non-lethal effect.
@@opscontaylor8195 Don't you only need the smart link so the limb tracking effect of smart weapons works?
There's a second ripper that you can get epic from, he's near the gig where you get Jotaro. He sells a leg were callef Lynx Paws which iirc, you move quietly and either recuse fall damage or land quietly from jumps.
Also good to point out Fingers has a really good Legendary Sandevistan model too, I'd have hated to miss it on my run
I did that mission without punching him which I regretted at the time, but now I’m happy I got access to his epics
The ripper in top left of city center also has the qiant sandy but u need 18 reflexes so u can still get it
Trick here is to find him before your quests take you to him and get the Sandy there.
Only one I didn't know was the fact that you can talk to a fixer and get the gig types revealed to you on the map. So thank you for that :)
As for double jumping to negate fall damage, there is a limit. If you fall too fast, the double jump won't work and most likely you'll die.
Commenting on the enemies that don’t die when you take them down.. I’ve known this for awhile. If you take a silenced weapon and headshot enemies after, you gain extra rep and xp… as a netrunner that just walks around like the grim reaper as a build. It is very satisfying walking in a room full of “corpses” and executing enemies
This is also the fastest way to rank up street cred. New players should Def run the cyberware that "knocks out" enemies then run a lethal weapon to execute them on the ground.
Love RPing that as a Netrunner…
Down an entire gang, mop up with a silenced pistol.
Leave one alive (preferably their Netrunner) so when they wake up, they’re surrounded by all their chooms with shorted out and overcooked cyberwear. And two close-rage taps to the head. Let their Netrunner know that while they were jacked in, another Netrunner was standin’ over them.
To borrow a line from the Cigarette Smoking Man, “I can kill you whenever I please…
…but not today.”
Using the legendary netwatch cyber deck is perfect for this it spreads combat quick hacks it's supposed to be 3 but it only spreads to 2 might have been fixed in the latest patch not sure but you can short circuit and over heat entire crowds before they even know what's going on then just stroll in head tapping
I am wondering how long it has been since some of you played the game, that was patched out in 1.5. There is no more double XP and street cred.
The first one you can remove the malware from the Militech chip, meaning you don’t have to spend your hard earned Eddies!
You don't have to go full passive with malestrom. If you get the cred chip from Stout, then tell Royce about it. Militech attacks, and you Jackie and Dum Dum team up and fight your way out. If you don't free Brick, and Royce survives, you get access to the vendor later.
For the Maelstrom vendor, he just shows up on older playthroughs as far as I know. I always kill everyone on that mission and I still get the Maelstrom vendor.
That ripper doc with the discount. If you read the email on the laptop in the basement, you'll get a third dialogue option beyond "you're lying," and you can say something like "you're lying. I read your emails." And then he gives you the discount too.
Did you know?...The hold and release option for quick hacking is handy is for auto aiming guns. You can use the quick hack button to auto aim your guns because it will lock your view onto the middle of the target when you release the quick hack, even if you don't use a hack. It slows down time so you can easily get head shots too. This is easier with one button push and release rather than double clicking a button. Quick hacking with no hack basically is a time slowing auto aim.
I misheard the intro and thought this was all new stuff from the latest patch, and when you hit the Fingers thing I got SO confused. Love these vids. CP2077 is my favorite game and you're my go-to for videos on it! Keep running that edge, but don't you dare go cyberpsycho!
The pickup quest makes me sad because it gives us a glimpse of what all the major quests of this game could have been like. Regardless though, I love the game. Im finishing up my fourth playthrough (second 100% playthrough). I just wish there was more. I am excited for Phantom Liberty though. Can’t wait for it!
Another thing about the Gorilla Arms: It doesn't even matter what quality they are, or what your strength is at - If you have 3 Attribute Points in Body (the lowest one can go) and are wearing the Rare (blue) Gorilla Arms (also the lowest grade you can get), then you CAN STILL USE a gun with a "Full potential unlocked at Body: *20* Requirement, EVEN THOUGH it only amounts to *5* Attribute in Body (3 naturally, 2 from rare/blue Gorilla Arms). With physical checks like forcing open doors, or ripping turrets off their hinges, then you DO need to actually meet the skill check requirement (by adding you BODY plus your Gorilla Arms modifier) as one would reasonably assume. HOWEVER, bonuses do NOT apply to Conversation Skill Checks =( sorry, can't make that intimidation check by way of having gorilla arms...
9:08 What I do is look the opposite way of where I want it to spawn. It always spawn behind you, so I just look away. Didn't know about jumping.
Excellent tip about unbinding tap crouch and make it the dodge, never thought of that for some reason, I decided to never dodge haha.
5:25 - while on the subject of “discounts”, if you go to the Kabuki market ripperdoc (his name is Robert) first thing after you can control V in the city before meeting Jackie to go see Vik, you can buy the legendary tier Black Market Battery for 1700 eddies instead of 5000.
I have no idea why it’s cheaper and I don’t know what the story cutoff is that the price goes up, but I started a new game and have been doing nothing but side jobs of NCPD assault calls instead of meeting up with Jackie and just happened to notice this
I made a trial and error v to see if I liked certain things for certain builds - just running around and seeing what was worth it. I’ve mostly just played netrunner before on my plays so starting melee was very different for me.
ANYWAYS, when doing the pickup I never contacted militech and started attacking maelstrom as soon as I met one. So many new lines with Jackie, it was quite interesting. Militech never showed up and neither did Dum Dum. Killed Royce and saved Brick. At the end Jackie told me that we always have a choice in what we decide to do, or involve corps or not.
I wouldn’t do it again simply because I enjoy dum dum and Meredith, but the entire time I was really softly smiling because we don’t get enough of Jackie.
The gig that opens the area you need for the discount from Charles is now one of the higher tier gigs from Regina. There's also a computer that has messages from Charles, and open up the dialog option to tell him you know what's going on, and skip to him offering you the discount.
The purple fortified legs can do a similar vein to the double jump legs i found interesting to varying effectiveness. The only difference I've seen is there is a weird method of activating tapping the jump button you jump normally if you jump then press and hold jump the legs will activate while your in the air I've used this from time to time also works while your falling just little harder to pull off in general. If you have a habit of holding jump when you do stuff might not be as useful. Also the hover can be extended past the 2 or so seconds if you aim around near the hover ends you will hover for about 2 more seconds in my experience it is albiet slow but useful for that bit of extra distance in a jump when you need it
Excellent guide, had no idea the alt key changed the headlights, thank you 👍👍👍.
Take care.
I'm pretty sure "short circuit" is not lethal but I'm always getting the bounties when I use it, even though the enemies are just passed out on the ground.
The text of Short Circuit says it's non lethal...but in my experience, it kills way more than it doesn't.
And here on my current play through I went in the Maelstrom base without talking to Stout, when Royce had a gun to my head I took the 'pull my gun and shoot Royce' option. I then fought my way out, shooting everyone. After the Heist I went back and the vendor was there.
This was so helpful!!!! thank you for these details!
I just got this game from the library and I am blown away. It's freaking fantastic. Like nothing else I've played
tip for those who dont know to use the epic fortified ankles do a normal jump first then press and hold jump again
thats how you get the propper jump height on them
also you can get the lynx paws from another ripper not that theres much reason to as they suck but you can get them else where
only the fortified ankles are fingers exclusive
Pretty helpful video. My experience with the Armadillo mod in Act 1 is to open every lootbox as I run around but there there are around 5 spots that have a higher chance of having one inside. I think they are the same ones featured in many videos. Just learn them and try your luck. CDPR should definitely increase the drop rate but I don't play the vanilla game anymore so if it gets frustrating then Nexusmods...
If you can't mod your game then off the top of my head theres a spot close to where T-bug sends you to collect the Ping. Look around the roundabout
Regina sends you to retrieve some klepted meds. In the room before you confront the psycho theres a Burya and a box which has a high chance to drop one
Behind Jatero Shobos building there are three idling tyger claws and a box that is sometimes lucky
The Shark in the water gig building has a lot of loot and access points. The building before it has a lucky lootbox and I've found an armadillo there more than once.
There are around three other spots in my experience and I've never found the Armadillo elsewhwere in act 1.
If you get to Act 2 without one you're either rushing or just unlucky but I can think of a couple other spots you can look up online in Pacifica and the badlands.
Non lethal optic mods massively increase proficiency gains.
Any enemy incapacitated with a weapon will give you proficiency toward that weapon tree.
However if you swap to a different weapon type and go around finishing off everyone you've just downed, You'll gain XP for those weapons too.
Which makes gathering perk points really easy and it gives you passive buffs too as proficiency also gives you them.
No need to swap between weapon types to level your secondary weapon type, just run what you want with non lethal turned on and execute the mob afterwards
No one ever talks about the phone calls you can make to Jackie through the game. They're kinda touching and give you more into V.
Mind blown by the caps lock tip for quickhacking, thanks!
Love your cyberpunk vids
the jump to summon the car closer???? how have i only just heard of this. its been 2 years
1:42 I did:
_"I doubt this will go smoothly"_ ,
_"Really expect me to pay twice?"_ ,
_"Prepared to offer us a discount...?"_ ,
Then told the friend to sit down.
Then threatened that one loud dude with a weapon and dropped him with the dialog option.
And in the midst of the firefight I disabled a detonator, freed the dude in the next room by getting the passcode from the closed laptop near the detonator.
And I have that vendor there, the outside area of the All Foods place is hostile, which doesn't matter because all hostiles got shot the first time I was there.
So it seems only getting the dude out one way or another is the requirement.
Thank you so much for the headlights one!!
Well two of those were new to me, the buff with gorilla arms is particularly helpful. Means I don't need Strength maxed out and can put points somewhere else.
I was using a reflex cool sandy build then found myself sneaking a lot which gimped me because a lot of shortcuts involved strength, switching to gorilla arms instead of mantis blades was a dream. it also sucks that mantis blades is basically a worse katana.
One thing I only learned quite recently is that you can cut off the energy in some places. Some buildings have those fuseboxes that your display won't highlight, but if you get close enough you will see the interact button. This turns off all cameras at once using you Technical skill, which is good for those who didn't invest in inteligence and can't hack the cameras from afar. Not all buildings have this and, as it is not highlighted, it is a matter of aproaching anything that looks like a fusebox.
Vendor restock only takes 24 hrs on console at least has been that that way for awhile now the best thing in fingers inventory is the legendary cataresist improves all your resistances
I knew that you could hit caps lock to keep the scanner up, but I prefer holding instead of toggling, so I always get annoyed when I fat finger caps lock and have to tap tab again to bring the scanner down.
I'm never annoyed enough to actually do anything, but still
The Malestrom vendor is also only place I've found to get legendary Satara. Likewise, Fingers also has some legendary Immune System cyberware you cannot find anywhere else. Kiroshi Optics don't make shots non-lethal, you have the cyberware mod installed in them that make things non-lethal.
I have hundreds of hours logged on several different playthroughs and surprisingly, there were a few things in this video that I didn't know. Much appreciated, homie
Great tips dude, thank you, some of them did not know them so very usefull. Keep posting.
I had no idea the jump call car thing was real. 10/10 love this video.
Fingers also carrys the second best Sandanvista which if you build you’re self right give a 2Sec cool down
I don't see people talking about this, because its probably common knowledge
But you only need a cloth to be in your inventory once for it to be completely accessible to your wardrobe. So you don't need to horde cloths
The reinforced legs from fingers also allow double jump. However in my game they are a bit buggy. Sometimes i can't load the jump up and sometimes double jump seems not working. I can't double jump from great distances down to another surface and "brake" mid air. In this case i rather use the Edgerunners Shotgun because it's recoil animation cancels out the falling shortly before you hit ground you don't need to aim to the ground to get this but shooting in front of you will most likely kill some NPCs.
No one told me that their are actually stickers in Fotomode i allways assumed that they are place holders but it's a slot where you can slap your stickers. Recently they added some Edgerunners related stickers. Had 400+ hours til i discovered this.
I've always found it odd and kinda messed up that Fingers has some of the best cyberwear when all the dialogue in the quest he's involved in points out how he's a sleazy scammer who exploits his customers and sells them junk.
Good stuff, have learned some things 👌🏻
The lynx leg mod you can get from a ripper next to the Allen street fast travel. It's the stealth legs you could also buy from fingers.
Man I didn't know about those legs you can get from Fingers (lol). I heard he has some great Cyberware but I never checked those. I also don't recall seeing the fast/silent running legs....ever, and I've been playing since launch. VERY helpful. Also, kinda surprised with all the checkboxes you gotta hit to get the S-Keef from Dum Dum that you can't at least get a crafting spec for it. Ah well.
This is great, thank you!
9:31 similarly if you have the epic fortified ankles you get another "stage". So you can jump off (but you do have to jump off the ledge, not just run off, because the second jump only becomes available when there was a first jump to begin with), then do a second jump like you have shown and THEN (after a similar amount of time) aim mid-air. This will let you jump off fairly high places safely.
8:32 I am not aware it is just the Kiroshis which will make your weapons non-lethal, to my knowledge it's a Kiroshi mod called "Target Analysis" and should only work if you also have the Smart Link cyberware, no?
Your video was quite helpful, thank you. I did know most of them (didn't know they implemented the Maelstrom vendor. I like hoarding iconics though, so not gonna go that path just for Doom-Doom and one piece of Maelstrom trivia, but still excellent information. Also - I DID know about the car spawning method, but never used it, for some reason... 😅) Also didn't know the crouching thing or that you can talk to fixers to reveal gig names/types beforehand.
Btw - do you happen to know whether the mod, which lets you get crafting recipes of items you have disassembled lets you craft Dum-Dums inhaler?
Also the Melee weapons have a different set off mods, I highly recommend the melee attack speed mod instead of the damage mod. More hits > Damage per hit
Just a note: there is a ripperdoc in JIG-JIG that also sells Lynx Paws if you already punched Fingers.
if you manually disable cameras by hand, you'll not only get XP, but loot material as well
I'm falling in love with this game rn.
This is great. We kind of need to re-do a lot of the videos on cyberpunk now that we have the game we all wanted when it released.
And we really need a new modding guide! Help me Obi-Juicehead! You're my only hope!
thank you for these!!
Good list ... especially the Caps Lock key part. 👍👍
I’ll get this a lot. Not only will my car not summon by me, it will drive off in the opposite direction from where I am standing.
Fingers also sells the legendary pain editor and cataresist which are crazy strong
Thanks 4 all the hard work.
I've got over 800 hours in this game and although having played a couple of netrunner builds was not aware of the caps lock quickhack thing. Game changer (goes off to fire up the game, Again)
I played and finished the game on the first days. Now I'm back to the game and I laugh a lot when i noticed i always jump to ask for cars! hahaha
Mind blown! Thank you!!
Keep a note that Regina almost always wants you to take them down non-lethally
ty mate it was helpful
Just one more things with fingers you can get the best sandevistan there because it basically has no cooldown if you add the right mods
Also if you have Gorilla arms and rip open a door, you can see the artificial muscles swell in the animation. Furthermore, dunno if it was like this before, the animation for silent takedowns is different and much quicker with gorilla arms.
It'd be cool if they had unique animations for the other arm cyberware.
I learned two things from this vid, even after playing 500+ hours in game. Subscribe button has been smashed.
The Floating ankles from Fingers is unique, but I feel like they don't jump as high as the regular fortified ankles can since holding space releases the charge and engages the floating immediately. They Can be used to cheese some of the fistfights though.
thats my favourite type of videos that you do
Ohh j3ez i lughed so hard on the subscribe bit ,god bless ur soul
The tab / caps lock trick naturally came to me as I always mis-press one for another because I am a gonk typist. Just like when I also frequently activate sandevistan instead of just walking somewhere.
Interesting that with 2.0 changing the way consumables work (all are becoming reusable from what I've heard), Black Lace actually becomes a viable tool
I didn’t know you could customise V’s chest. That’s very 2077.
HOLY... That skip feature! You got a follower :D
Awesome content!
Started a new playthrough as a netrunner/ hybrid using legendary static shock for the crit passive and anytime I down an enemy I still get xp/street cred for downing them ( ss is non lethal) then a little more xp/ some ninjitsu xp from finishing them off.
I’m replaying this on my new PS5 & awesome TV & I’m really enjoying it. Playing as mantis tank which is so different from my initial netrunner play through. I’d highly recommend a replay with new build. This game is awesome
The legendary slot thing is why I use the clothes you get from logging in with the main menu qr, since upgrading those clothes 12 times gets you to legendary and at least 3 slots
I'm about 40 hours in and I learned a lot from this vid. Thanks choom
I played through the game at launch and decided to give it another go recently (I really just wanted to try it out on the Steam Deck). I've noticed that they have really toned down the nudity in advertisements around the city. It's still there, but not nearly as prevalent as it used to be.
LOL, your subscribe pitch just got you a new sub. Good job, your vids are good and I should have subbed anyway!
I'd like to see a part 2 to this
10,000 for a vendor?
**Danny Devito Voice**
"So anyways, I started blastin."
fingers also has a few other unique items like a unique legendary sandevistan and a couple other items which I didnt learn until after it was too late.
About the Maelstrom shop timeskip? Vik; "you have maybe weeks to live..." V: *waits weeks and weeks for the one item he/she is searching* :'D
Holy Cow Dude....You taking a breather or it's some sick editing skills?
Maelstrom vendor is someone I got by accident first play through. I paid up, stayed full pacifist until final choice. Got mad and then capped Royce. I then freed Brick. Went back later. Found a vendor at the All foods. Bought melee stuff. Never thought much about it.
WSAD keys enable you to move around. It's very useful when you're battling Adam Smasher.
love the video. helped alot. dont play cyberpunk enough to know all of that. starting a new play through so ya, TY.
The Part with the "You need to kill them to get streetcred and money" is not true in every case. i just tested it, used stealth takedowns and non-lethal hacks and got the money and streetcred just fine, nothing extra was gained from killing them afterwards, maybe it has something to do with non-lethal weaponry or implants that make them so. just want to add this in case people were wondering.
Clothing that has the extra damage to different difficulty tier enemies baked-in mod is great, especially with epic armadillo (or other class specific efficiency multiplier).
If you want some of those special PC mods I mentioned...you can get Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG using my affiliate link: af.gog.com/game/cyberpunk_2077?as=1716164547
You should definitely highlight R terso rían games and mike pondsmith, the creators of the cyberpunk franchise and the ones that gave cd project red the green light to make the game about the tabletop, witch I highly recommend if you wanna make your own cyberpunk story/events with friends and that cyberpunk red digitally is actually free to download and play. And even if your not a big fan of ttrpgs it got bunch of juicy lore books and the game is a lot easier to learn than dnd and if you still don’t understand how the game works I would also recommend listening/watching cybernation uncensored every either here on CZcams or on Spotify! Thanks for coming to my Ted talk…
For me, I like line by line skip way more
13:34 IDK if anyone's mentioned it yet, but you can just... bind a button to toggle the scanner instead of holding it? I still use Tab and it works just fine.
@JuiceHead there is someone going around using you name on telegram and is in your chat doing fake giveaways scamming
I thought I was already subbed so but your sub bit was funny so I subbed when I realised I wasnt lol
