"Nothing to worry about" is not always the case. When the doctor talks to you after the colonoscopy and says you have colon cancer -- that's when you worry!
Great video! You made a a scary procedure seem tolerable. Colonoscopies save lives!
Hi, I am glad to have found this video because I have got to go for a colonoscopy in the next couple of weeks under the two week wait so I am very nervous… I have seen other videos and have made myself totally scared but I am glad you had a good experience and fingers crossed I will too xx
Thank you for posting this Becky!
I have my first one in a few days.
Trying not to get worked up as that won’t solve anything.
You are so sweet and calm…..
I will be watching you again in a couple of days 😎
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment!
I hope your procedure all went well and you are on the way to getting healthier 🤍
I had one with sedation some discomfort but glad it is done.
Thanks for the video. I have to have my first on the 10th this month!!
No worries. I hope it all goes well 🤍
Good video, certainly isn't fun but not as bad as people make it out to be. I can't work out if the Picolax or Movicol prep are worse. The one advantage of the second is that its then litres of fluid so doesn't burn much but its a lot of sickly fluid.
No it isn’t too bad at all! I just drunk loooadds of water with Picolax so didn’t find it too bad
Having one in two days and NOBODY has gotten back to me about general anaesthesia, I’m 16 and refuse to be conscious- do you know if I have the option???
from what I've read/seen and what my doctor told me, it's common to be asleep for the procedure no matter what age. if you had it already, how did it go?
Mine is in 6 days and I'm so nervous about the prep. I'll be taking 4L of peglyte
I start my prep this morning so nervous
I'm in the US and have Crohns as well. So in the uk you guess don't get put to sleep completely. I'd be so nervous and I've had many colonoscopies
Yes that sucks. No idea why they don't put you to sleep here. They say they need you to turn over mid procedure. So I guess they don't turn you over in the US.
Puts me off from going.
I have my colonscopy tomorrow. I'm so much scared! Now I feel cry
I hope it went well! Honestly I found it so much easier then I thought I would x
What did you go in for?
@@Beckijackson_ yes not as bad a I thought
